Events in Guinea have left a bitter taste in the mouths of many who saw footage of the horrific events during Monday's pro-democracy protests or read accounts of what transpired

People both in and out of the country are now watching with baited breath as the next chapter unfolds. But as Ofeibea Quist-Arcton West Africa correspondent of US National Public Radio recalls, some of the events are all too familiar.
