Egyptian lawmakers are calling for a ban on imports of a hymen kit made in China that helps women fake their virginity.

The kit costs 30 US dollars and is intended to help newly married women fool their husbands into believing they are virgins.

A bride's virginity is culturally important in a conservative country where sex before marriage is considered by many to be forbidden.
