Responsible for broadcasts and future media in Arabic, English for Africa, French, Hausa, Kinyarwanda/Kirundi, Portuguese for Africa, Somali, and Swahili.

Director, English Networks & News

Responsible for news and all programming on the English networks.

- Nigel Chapman relinquished his management responsibility for ´óÏó´«Ã½ World Service on 27 February 2009. Richard Sambrook took over as Accounting Officer and Acting Director of ´óÏó´«Ã½ World Service until Peter Horrocks' arrival on 14 April 2009. Lesley Granger, Director, Human Resources, retired on 30 June 2008. Richard Burdon joined on 12 May 2008. Richard Thomas joined on 28 April 2008.
