 Introduction 大象传媒 World Service has been through enormous changes since its first broadcasts in December 1932.
Global conflict, the break-up of the British Empire, the emergence of new nation-states, and enormous innovations in the means of making and broadcasting programmes have all played their part in shaping the world's leading global broadcaster. The aim of this audio archive is to showcase programmes that explore 大象传媒 World Service's history and tell the story of World Service as it celebrates its 75th anniversary. A special season of programmes dedicated to 大象传媒 World Service's 75th anniversary will be added to this archive during 2007. |
