These busts were often made in pairs - a boy and a girl. It is made of plaster, hand painted and simply entitled "Village girl'. This is typical of the type of ornament that was poplular at the beginning of the 20th century. It would have been relatively cheap and mass-produced and gives us an idea of popular tastes at the time.
