My father bought this iron in Belfast and I remember it being used by my granny and my aunts. It was fuelled by methylated spirits and once lit you would see flames coming from the inside of the iron! We think the iron was made in Germany as it has the words 'Muster geschutzt' written on it, which is the German for patent protected. Contributed by Bernadette Kennedy.
