A clay Roman pot, made in the Roman province of Gall, France and brought over to Britain. It was found in Weymouth, Dorset.

    The ´óÏó´«Ã½ has placed this in the 600-800 AD bracket, but it is a samian dish with an identifiable potter's stamp, probably by a potter working in South Gaul in the 1st century AD.
