Hereford cattle have been exported all over the world.
According to folklore, examples such as this occur because the farmer forgot to leave a saucer of milk out for the fairies. The fairies 'revenge' is to deform newly born livestock.
Such deformities are really man made or forced through a limited gene pool making genetic mutations more likely to occur. These deformities are relatively common in animal husbandry.
The taxidermised head is over 70 years old. It once belonged to Mr Lewis, who was a blacksmith in Yarkhill. He had the head on display in his shop for many years.
