This is a high quality washstand that would have been common in the bedrooms of stately homes such as Chatsworth. It would have been used before the introduction of plumbing. I bought it in a junk shop in Islington in the late 1960s for £40 it is now worth £2,000.

I have a wash stand very similar to this one and can't find any information on it. The backing tiles are different and the design on the sink is still blue & White but it has apples on it. The unit is identical other than the print. Would be grateful for any history on it.
