This thatcher's legit is a tool used for thatching roofs. It pushes the straw up and also bangs in the thatch. Thatching was once a cheap way of roofing a house. Thatching went out of fashion when tiles became available and fashionable. Thatchers are now sought after specialists needed to restore and replace roofs on traditional cottages.
