This is a stone with a man-made hollowed-out middle - the hollow is kidney-shaped and very tactile. I found this stone on the shoreline of Rathlin Island many years ago and would love to know what purpose it served. It clearly involved a lot of skill to get it to this shape but I wonder what it was used for. Would be interested to get an exact date for it too.
