Phoenician Funereal Glass (BC)

I have a cabinet with six pieces of Phoenician funeral glass which were excavated from Tibnin in Galilee by an ancester of mine - they show, like other civilisations, the need to provide the dead person with the essentials to get them through to the after-life. They consist of a shallow bowl, a deeper bowl on a pedestal, a beaker, two narrow vases and a small bottle with a long neck and lip and I have a photograph showing all six items. All the items have an irridescence on them which I believe comes from prolonged burial in the ground.

I have a letter with the items written by one of the party who was there and which confirms their being unearthed in June 1908.

You ask what it makes me think about history and the world, I would say I am very curious to know more about this and other items.
