A set of brass weights in their original box. Each weight is inscribed 'Shire of Bute'. These weights were bought for use in the Royal burgh of Rothesay in 1825. The weights were used to make official checks on the weights used in the town. Bute Museum also has the official copper measures and apothecries weights.
