This is a piece of the plane in which Vernon Castle was killed in Feb 1918. Vernon was born in Norwich (1887-1918) and posted to Canada in WW1 as part of the Royal Flying Corps to train new pilots. Irene Castle and him became famous ballroom dancing Broadway stars.
