Wool was big business and many towns were built from the proceeds. Henry Derryman is a fourth generation sheep farmer. Now shearing is done mechanically. These shears were bought 45 years ago and were made in Sheffield. When it was all done by hand with these clippers it was a very difficult and back breaking procedure.
