The Lichfield Clock is a musical longcase clock dating from the mid-eighteenth century. For much of its history it had pride of place in the private museum of a Doctor Greene of Lichfield - hence the clock's name. Its outer case is designed to look like a gothic church tower, painted to resemble stone. It has animated figures from the story of Christ's betrayal and plays five different tunes including a minuet by Handel.
