I was born in Surrey and studied history at St. Andrew’s before going into advertising. I was a board member of several of Scotland’s top agencies before creating my own media business and more recently have specialised in social marketing and public sector advertising. I am a member of the Helensburgh Children’s Panel, the Parole Board for Scotland, the Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal and am a board director of a community-based drugs agency. I have been a member of the Dunbartonshire Economic Forum and Ofcom’s Advisory Committee for Scotland. My favourite programmes have included Spooks, Have I Got News For You, Jools Holland, Planet Earth, the ´óÏó´«Ã½ News channel, and the European dramas on ´óÏó´«Ã½4. I listen to various ´óÏó´«Ã½ radio stations, especially Radio 5 Live.
