Many scientists believe that the world's weather is becoming more hazardous. Some examples of extreme weather in the UK include:

  • heavy rain
  • gales
  • heavy snowfall
  • thick fog
  • heat wave
  • drought

Climate change can increase the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events.
