The five Ks
A Sikh who has been initiated into the Khalsa. are those who have chosen to be baptised and to commit to following the rules of the Alternate spelling: Rehat Maryada. The Sikh Code of Conduct.. One of the rules Amritdhari Sikhs must follow is to wear the Five articles which identify a Sikh who has been initiated into the Khalsa. at all times. The five Ks are a daily reminder of the Sikh faith. They are used to help Sikhs remember their responsibility as members of the The Sikh community, literally 'the community of the pure'. Refers particularly to initiated Sikhs. and to help them focus on their daily actions.
However, many A member of the Sikh community who has not taken part and been baptised in the Amrit Sanskar ceremony. often wear some or all of the five Ks too.
