Description

By using your own pace, show how light can be red shifted by taking larger or smaller steps after watching the animation. Using a slinky, show how the wavelength of waves can be altered between the distance of the source and the receiver. Advanced - Describe how altering the wavelength will alter the frequency. You can use a slinky to understand this, before writing the description. Predict the new wavelength of red shifted light using the equation of the Doppler effect. Use the electromagnetic spectrum to choose the correct type of wave. Use this information to describe the cosmic microwave background.
