This clip could form part of wider research into the role of shop stewards and trade unions. Students may wish to prepare interview questions for a shop steward to investigate ways in which s/he represents his/ her workers. The class could look into specific examples of industrial disputes and investigate the process by which they were resolved. This could include drawing up a flow diagram of the process by which a resolution came about. This could include consideration of the role of ACAS.
