HEY! DAVID BOWIE! PLEASE CAN WE TALK TO YOU?

Post categories: ,Ìý,Ìý

James Stirling (6 Music) James Stirling (6 Music) | 14:07 UK time, Tuesday, 8 September 2009

We don't ask for much on the Adam and Joe show. Just an audience with one of the most famous and influential pop stars of all time. Well, how much do you love Mr. Bowie you may ask? This much. Thanks to the Eggman for putting together this one stop guide to our obsession. DAVID! CALL US!!!

How could Bowie resist an interview after that fantastic, not at all slightly creepy, ode to Bowie?

I think maybe if you do get Bowie on the show you may wish to pre-record all the questions in case of double meltdown.

There is no way he can refuse now guys!!!!

'Electricity buzzing through Bowie-corp' Damn that made me splurt my diet coke. Good work fellas.. I wish The Lord Bowie would appear on the show... and Iman naturally! He must appear... it is the LAW!

I wonder if you guys could get a celebrity hynotist friend (I'm sure you have at least one) to hypnotise Bowie into suddenly developing a strange desire to go on a radio show.

The only problem with that is he might go to Moyles.

I've found lately I can't publicly admit I sometimes like to listen to Radio 1 podcasts.
Then I find myself trying to rationalise the whole Radio 1 thing and failing that I have to distance myself from my lack of judgement and poor taste. I hate living this lie.

Just to be really sad for a moment but I just checked the blog and lo' and behold the massage music and a semi-creepy personal message to David Bowie... not to mention all those song wars classics!? forget about it... Man this blog was such a good idea and has become a stalwart of my favourites bar! So congratulations guys, Viva la Blog Squadron

    'Bowie's in space....Bowie's in spac-aye-ce'
Boggins Bowie should come on the show! Perhaps you could try and snag Duncan 'Moon' Jones and tell him to have a word in his dads ears!

    'Get an eye-patch'

Everyone check out the Joe Cornish Appreciation Society of Facebook!!!!

If Bowie says yes, please do the interview in some sort of Bowie-inspired outfit, make-up and all. (Packet-stuffing at your own discretion, though I doubt either of you need it)

Hey fellow Boggins hope you are recruiting for dog Squadron!!!!

Have A&J ever explained why their Bowie impersonations say "Wuzza wuzza"? As a fan of silly voices and funny noises, I love it, but I'm not sure of the origin...

    Like smoking crack for kids.

I have blonde semi short choppy hair. It is my favourite when I have a rough night and wake up the next day looking like David Bowie in Labyrinth.

    I am a 27 year old woman.

Also. The photo which appears at 3:36 of the above video. Is anyone seeing the ghost of Zammo Maguire from Grange Hill next to Adam?

Ok yeah so fight the power. Or something.

    Kind Regards,

    Candice Pearson.

Hi to james, Adam & Joe & all of Blog Squadron,

Does anyone know or have list what song wars songs were made AFTER the 80's song song wars?

God this is so über nerdballs.

sheesh. I'm ashamed of myself but could someone give me a list of those song wars songs anyway please?

  • Comment number 16.

"Does anyone know or have list what song wars songs were made AFTER the 80's song song wars?"

what I meant to say was,

Does anyone know or have a list of what Song War song were made AFTER the '80's songs' Song wars.

    sigh.

  • Comment number 17.

I don't think either of those previous messages sound or look right.

But if anyone got the general gist (jist?) of it and has some information that would be very nice.

  • Comment number 18.

    @janineshroff

Your 3 song wars songs posts made me laugh! Thank god we don't have an edit function or we'd have missed out on your brilliant attempts to clarify your request! I do get your gist but I have no idea of the whole list, sorry. I hope somebody else can help you out. Have yourself a good weekend. x
    Sam.

David Bowie isn't real. Its just your dad in a David Bowie costume.

  • Comment number 20.

Erm, so Ollie didn't count as a guest?
    Or Black Squadron?
    Or Joe's phone?
    Tsk.

Wow, you guys have got it bad! You realise that some of your fans think like that about you two...

Why not get us to sign a petition to Mr Bowie, I'm guessing you'd get plenty of people to sign. 'Have an interview with adam and Joe, please Mr Bowie' petition... yeah that's got a ring to it...

  • Comment number 21.

Hi janineshroff. There was only songwar ater the 80's themed one and it was songs about The Apprentice. (All together now, 'Margaret Mountford your hair is like a cloud...')

Here's a complete list of all the songs ever (well the competitive ones anyway)

Eventhough it's on wikipedia it's still all true :D

  • Comment number 22.

thank you sam and got2 for figuring out my garbled message, thats what i was looking for!

  • Comment number 23.

Excellent compilation from the Eggman, this will surely go into the guys "Bowie cupboard", bagged and labeled as evidence to help their case to arrange an interview. - Exhibit A: 10 minutes of Bowie talk. Exhibit B: One Bowie themed bath song. There is no way Bowie would be scared by all this!

  • Comment number 24.

I've recorded a Bowie-themed song, and would love to discover what the man himself thinks of it; but I'd settle for a reaction from Adam and Joe! I know my place in the food chain of fandom.

Imagine the Spiders kicking in in the middle, and mentally replace the jaunty whistling with a scorching lead guitar.

Oops! Here's [Unsuitable/Broken URL removed by Moderator]the right sort of link (I think)

  • Comment number 26.

Wuzz wuzz. Wuzz wuzz. Hi Adam and Joe, I've seen your pleas and this interview is now assured. Let me check the synchronocity of my diary.

    Wuzz.

The day after I unveil my new sculptures ought to do it.

  • Comment number 27.

i think you would definitely have to go to his place over in
NYC as since his heart attack he has been semi retired.
but im sure he would spare a minute for you guys between painting and picking up lexie from school.
