Not in any way wanting to wish this week's show away with too much haste but do we know who the guest will be next week?

  • Comment number 2.

Hi Webname, fingers crossed we'll announce the guest tomorrow and ask for your questions accordingly.

  • Comment number 3.

Wavey, James! Big kiss to you and your lovely Sunday. Thank you! XXXX

  • Comment number 4.

Great show again Buckles... 'The Secret Life of Arabia' sounds like a Song Wars effort by your good self or the Cornish. You can definitely see the influence.
Bowie Snacks - Sea Salt and Cracked Actor flavour crisps. Warszawa peas, Joe the Lion Bar.
I love Everbody's Talkin' by Nilsson, good choice.
You should have Cornballs on as a guest!

  • Comment number 5.

More Bowie Snacks - Ziggy Stardust Spacedust (bit lame I know!), Alabama Jamma Dodga, Teenage Wildlife Bar, (they're getting lamer!)

Is it me or does that Pavement song sound a bit Lou Reed/Velvet Underground influenced?

  • Comment number 6.

Im looking forward to the big mix tape as much as i looked forward to the adam and joe show each week! Great selection again ads - and i do like the doodled mixtape lists and mug shots! xxx

  • Comment number 7.

Woohoo! My question asked and my username mocked, this was a good episode for me personally. Oh, and a good episode generally, obviously.

  • Comment number 8.

Scratch that Ziggy stardust spacedust one, it should have been just 'ziggy spacedust'....well duh!

  • Comment number 9.

Thanks for asking my question! Great show. Louis was excellent - it was nice to hear him in a more relaxed mood. Tasty looking beardage he's got going on there too, wit woo.

  • Comment number 10.

Louis has such a great voice for radio, it's so soothing. Not saying his face isn't pleasing to see on tv, but when it comes to radio I only enjoy hearing the posh voices, anybody who's kind of common sounding... I just turn my radio right off.

Yeah I'm a radio voice snob!

Btw I've been going around saying/singing life on mars bar and revel revel all week. It's even crossed over to my dad who doesn't even listen to the show. However at the tennis club snack shop yesterday he asked for a cup of tea and a life on mars bar :)

Imagine my confusion and then excitement Adam when you read out my comment on your show this week! I had no idea that Scott Mills (spit) was involved in the 'For Your Ears Only' show! I feel like cleansing my eyes and ears of everything but the show I watched where you made the mix tape for Louis. It stuck in my mind though all this time for the Richard Hell track but also for the amazing record/CD storage you had in your house! Or perhaps it was a fake Scott Mills residence oh no! Anyway, imagine my shock when you got the rage and shouted at me live on air! I think the only way to make up for this is to invite me on the show to discuss mixtapes as I can guarantee I am an absolute expert on the topic! (I actually loved your rage but am pretending to be offended). Excellent inclusion of Elliot Smith AND Pavement in the same show! Bye love you.

BOGGINS IS BACK! Did anyone else notice the return of Boggins at 0.59.50! All this talk of Boggins actually being Ads is now invalid, it was Theroux all along!!

Anyhow what a treat! BoC (Happy Cycling is about my favourite track of theirs too), Eno, Elliot Smith, Neutral Milk Hotel and Louis Theroux. Great job Buckles.

  • Comment number 13.

    ooooh oooooh

    Bowie Snax...

    Milkyway Magic Starman
    Ziggy Starburst

  • Comment number 14.

Louisio, I'm sure you realise there's many an idiothole who would pay good money to have a Buckles shout directed right at them. It's a badge of honour, for heaven's sake!

I'm sure you already know this, sweet Adam and James, but just in case..... if you hit this

you'll see all the suggestions listener came up with on Twitter while you were on air but you'll have to punch the 'more' link at the bottom to get to earliest ones. I didn't say they were all good suggestions, though.

Lauras_a_star - when you leave school and have to travel up North for something unavoidable like e.g. work, you may well discover that the Northern people tribes of the freezing wastes beyond Hemel Hempstead have things to offer too; have real, proper feelings and stuff; can read clever books and speak comprehensibly, and even be intentionally quite funny on occasion!

You'll look back on what you've typed up there, and say, "Flippin' heck, I must have been drinking an awful lot of unhealthy fizzy pop to say such rubbish!!"

  • Comment number 16.

All Im saying is BE CAREFUL mixtape fans

  • Comment number 17.

Great show Ads. If Joe ever leaves you for good, please get Lou to replace him. I would love to hear a Theroux Song Wars!

15/ I think it was just a throw-away comment, Mr Radiator. I'm sure that had Laura considered the likes of Guy, Jarvis, Stuart and Marc, she would never have typed it.

  • Comment number 18.

It came to me in bed.. The best Bowie Snack ever!.. It's GENIUS!
Remember the chewy nutty bar that is Mr Tom?
    Well how about :

    Mr Major Tom!

    I couldn't sleep I tell you.
    Love ya, byeeeeeeeeee

  • Comment number 19.

    Radiator... I live up north.

  • Comment number 20.

    Camden?

  • Comment number 21.

Wakefield, all my life. It's dead posh.

  • Comment number 22.

whawhawha1 - time to go on the run!! My Dad once told me (joking but underestimating my gullibility) that the police might come and take all my taped-off-the-radio music when I was a child...terrifying!

  • Comment number 23.

    West Yorkshire? Amazing!

Mr Buxton has his eye on getting Jarvis, another native of Yorkshire in as a guest. Maybe it will be an epiphany moment...

    ****

Don't worry whawha, if I do a comp for anyone, I buy the tracks a second time to cover the deficit. I attach receipts to the comp in case the music police ever turn up for argy bargy.
