Switch's Grapest Challenge... EVER!
Hello,
We're sitting in the studio before the show and Simple Plan have just left us. It was very chaotic and unfortunatly for us they left a momento. Vomit in our bin.
They're playing three gigs today a record for them, so we thought we'd ask them to break a new record, a world record. Chris discovered that there's never been a record for the most amount of grapes in a mouth in one go without any eating of grapes, roll VT.....

This, is my skin
Ok, that was a poor attempt at being a bit like Kate Nash, the title of this blog, but it's about Skins. We've spent today (my birthday) in the office drinking tea, eating cake and working out which Skins characters we are... this is what we've come up with.
Mind-reader Chris ACTUALLY talked to Mike Bailey (Sid) and Michelle off of Skins about it and they thought he was a bit like Sid- because they are both from Bristol, he can do his accent and even though he can't pull off a hat. He also reckons that he's got a similarly embarrassingly flirting technique.
Producer Megan is a bit like Michelle because she is pretty, admired but she doesn't have a Tony in her life- thankfully!
We think Annie Mac is Tony because she is in charge and we do what she wants. She also has great taste in clothes.
Grimmy is a bit like Chris cause he makes us laugh and is a free spirit.

Oh My Gosh I Saw Skins
Oh my oh my, I'm one excited fella today. This morning I got to go see the first episode of Series 2 of , which'll be hitting your TV screens early Feb, and if that was not exciting enough I got to sit next to Mike who plays in the show, and watch his every reaction.
All the cast were they, and none of them had seen it, so it was very weird seeing their first reactions to the show... and some very interesting reactions they were too. Yet I'm not going to give you all the goss now, tune in from 7 on Sunday to Switch with Annie Mac on Radio 1 and I'll let rip on all the gossip about the first episode (while giving away as little as possible) what the cast thought of it, what they did while they watched it, and all that stuff.
If that's not all I also got to speak to them all, so we'll be playing interviews with Sid, Cassie, Michelle, Tony and all the guys from Skins over the next few weeks. Horrah!

So Annie in her post Christmas state couldn't quite work out how to put a link to Russell Brand's podcasts, so has called upon me to do it for her... which is great as this can count as her Christmas present and mean the box of chocolates I have for her can be eaten by me. Yum Yum.
Anyway, like Annie I've been a big fan of Russell's radio shows since 6 Music and his podcast is an audio delight, you can download it HERE! While we're at it I'll also advise you to download all the Radio 1 podcasts they're great (especially Annie's mini-mix one) and I also laugh my head off at Russell Howard's 6Music postcast. Yucky Cheese
Hey Everyone,
Hope you're all good and looking forward to Christmas. It's a busy old week in the Switch office to get everything ready for this week's show. Grimmy's flying solo as Annie's over in Ireland, so be sure to tune in from 7 to give him your love, support and text messages.
Earlier today big cheese producer Megan had a jacket potatoe with Cottage Cheese on it. I mentioned how I'd never had it before because I don't really like cheese as a rule, and it looked all yucky. She then put some on a fork and got me to try it, not only that, but she also said we can film it for the blog... so here it is me, trying cottage cheese.... judging by the results I'd be amazing on I'm A Celeb... ha!

Bee there or bee square
We were talking about on the show today, and I am very very embarrassed because I declared to the world that I thought honey came out of bees bums. Reg D Hunter our comedian agreed with me in thinking it was butt honey but iIn fact thanks to the interweb we found the true answer.
They use their long, tongues like straws to suck the nectar out of the flowers and they store it in their "honey stomachs which is like a nectar backpack . The honeybees return to the hive and pass the nectar onto other worker bees. These bees suck the nectar from the honeybee's stomach through their mouths. These "house bees" "chew" the nectar for about half an hour. The bees then spread the nectar throughout the honeycomb. Once the honey is gooey enough, the bees seal off the cell of the honeycomb with a plug of wax. The honey is stored until it is eaten. In one year, a colony of bees eats between 120 and 200 pounds of honey.
It was nice to see that somebody else lives in Stretham and he had possibly the coolest voice… ever. Thanks everyone so much for listening to Switch, texting and all that sort of stuff. Can't wait for more fun in the new year… look after Grimmy for me next week while I'm off celebrating Christmas early.

Well hello there blog readers,
Are you well? Yes? Fantastic, I'm glad to hear it. I'm ok thanks for asking, I've just come back from a bit of a holiday in so am the proud owner of a tan, some new clothes and a bit of a debt… ooops!

Booooooooooootiful girls with Sean Kingston
Sean Kingston likes to think that he can spot a gorgeous girl at 20 paces so Annie and Grimmy set him a little quiz. They showed him a selection of British beauties and he had to decide whether they were hot or not. Out of a choice of a princess, an actress, an ex girl band member and a Big Brother celeb guess which one he called NOT BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! x
