"I am so impressed that the shift from one technical basis to the other is so seamless. Someone deserves a medal!"said tolhurst on the 6music message boards on Tuesday of last week.
It's pleasing to read. And confirms that from where I'm sitting the implementation of the new sign in system 大象传媒 iD on 大象传媒 message boards has gone well (and I'd like to thank all the people who made it happen).
Nothing's perfect of course and if you have experienced any difficulties my apologies.
But some numbers Karen has put together indicates that from Tuesday morning until Thursday morning of last week more than 10,000 大象传媒 iD accounts have been created. And only 24 users had sent emails to our Membership email to ask for help.
Here's a graph that shows the number of new 大象传媒 iD accounts created over the past few weeks:
And this graph shows the impact of accounts being upgraded ("migrated") from the old system to the new one. In other words, not brand new accounts but accounts replacing and upgrading old ones:
The 大象传媒's remaining communities (e.g. h2g2) will be switched to 大象传媒 iD in the new year.

Not too sure now what happens, as a user of iplayer message boards I probably suffered more than other board users. There are a few threads on the iPlayer board about login problems in the past, maybe these are contagious.
I do know; that for me; signing in once does not seem to get into all blogs and boards, which would be the obvious expectation.
Also as mentioned in my last comment iPlayer board is apparently US, or is it just a fault with this log-in 'bbc id' system, or an otherwise unannounced closure of the board [anyone knowing otherwise please I would appreciate post of relevant link ] (But bbc did not reply to my e-mail either iPlayer - Complaint [T20091224010BS060]鈥 and my email system seems ok)
