Beyonce - 'Listen'

BeyonceOH MY GOD, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? What on EARTH is Beyonce doing singing the sort of song they usually give to X-Factor winners? She's made it already, hasn't she? I distinctly remember her having hit records, and not that long ago either, so it's not like she's taking the Emma Bunton pop failure route and gone reality TV on her own (much discussed) ass, is it?

...oh I SEE, it's from a film about a singer, and Beyonce is the singer in the film? RIIIIGHT. Well, she's awful brave, isn't she? I mean here she is singing a song with the word crossroads in the lyrics - the title of Britney's not-awfully-well-received film, remember? - and it's a cheeseball ballad about being a singer, singing a song about singing a song. And it's straight out of the old school Mariah, er, school. That's the Mariah who also had a film about a singer. A film which nearly ended her career.

Naturally none of this is going to happen to Beyonce. She's got that voice, right? And a song which is every bit as inspirational as 'All This Time' by Michelle McManus, or 'That's My Goal' by Shayne Ward. Hell, it's nearly as good as 'Starmaker' by the Kids From Fame (ask your mum).

Oh, sorry, did I say 'nearly as good as'? What I meant was 'exactly the same as'. I always get those two confused.

Now, PLEASE don't ever make me have to listen to that again. It's bloody horrible.

    you're a t***
    this is a lovely song
oh, and by the way, emma bunton is no failure, her second album sold even more than her first, and her first wasn't a failure, it just didn't sell as much as the spice girls.
but who does? (sell as many records as the spices did)
just because you have huge success, everyting you do after that is a failure in comparison
That's such a pathetic way of thinking

I just found a neat Beyonce site with all her story detailed. Lots of interesting and unrevealed things in there.
