Concerto For Mobile Phone (In E Minor)...
It all seemed so easy at first. A bit of a listen to Elliot Minor's really-very-good 'Jessica' for review purposes, some conversations with the band's people about maybe getting to speak to Alex from the band in an interview situation, a brief chat with some ChartBlog Street Team people to help get some questions together, a wander into the ChartBlog studio at the alloted hour, what could possibly go wrong?
Well, Alex could be speaking on a mobile phone with an appallingly bad signal, and then jetting off on his holiday immediately afterwards, so that all we were left with was a half-finished conversation, in which his replies kept cutting out, and were entirely unusable.
Thankfully, compared to situations which are actually geniunely bad, this was no big deal. And after a week or two, we finally got our man. But, boring story though it is, you needed to know all this, to explain why there's a couple of moments in the interview where we go back over questions which got asked the first time.
What I Expected: Salacious tales of McFly's backstage habits...salacious tales of naughty music schoolboys doing illicit rocking...in short, salacious tales of gratuitous sax and extreme violins.
What I Did Not Expect: To fall helplessly in love with the phrase 'internal rustification' and therefore attempt to work it into every single sentence. I'm still doing it now!

Im sorry but i've seen these guys live on (sadly) more than one occasion and they are nothing to write home about. their single jessica lacks a almost everthing that makes an average song average. Sadly for these guys they are less than average and the masses will agree. There is only so long a band like this can ride the wave of 14 year old female fans before their shelf life expires. Anyone remember Busted and their swift introduction into the bargin bin? See you there soon guys!

excuse me 'non fan' but i happen to like this band. i am a 17 year old girl. i was meant to see them with an 18 year old MALE friend and i couldnt go 'cus i was ill so instead his OLDER sister went and they had a great time.
busted only had a short shelf life 'cus remember THEY BROKE UP. although i wasnt a fan of busted and i am now not a fan of mcfly i do respect the members of both bands.
anyhoo, if you dont like them then why did you go to see them multiple times?!

I like Elliot Minor, saw them live they were great, its just a shame that they were so stuck up they would only talk to their mates they brought with them.... still good band none the less. Ps Im 22 age doesnt matter its called ur ear pallets taste! :) regards
I thought it'd be babyish if i said 'oh yeah, I still have my sooty hand puppet at home. sooty rocks!' but you caught me out so i better confess that actually sooty is quite awesome. I named my albino rabbit sooty! its a satanic rabbit.....it very rarey lets me sroke him. meh.

I don't normally post things on sites like this, but to the person who said they were stuck up: I've saw them 4 times now, and all 4 times they've taken loads of time to talk to their fans after the show, signed autographs and taken pictures with them even though they were knackered! Even if you don't like their music, you can't deny their dedication to their fans. I have to say they're the most down-to-earth and hard working band I've heard of and they really do deserve to do well!! Apart from the fact they're dedicated, their music is fantastic and they're lovely guys - you don't get much better than that!
