OLDER ? YES. WISER ? NO.

Chris Evans | 15:06 UK time, Monday, 2 April 2007

Just blogged and got completely wiped. Gutted.

Here goes again.

Great couple of weeks away. Has seemed like for ever due to the fact that it was completely jam packed.

We had COMIC RELIEF. We had the foot ball at the New Wembley, I was easily the worst player on the pitch but we had a real laugh anyhow. Then there was lots of work on the new house which is about to become the old house. Then there was golf and eating for a few days and then back home to host an internal BEEB awards night last week and then off to Ireland for a birthday weekend with pals.

Didn’t get back till last night when we went straight for a curry and then watched a particularly hard to believe episode of 24. I’m losing my faith in Jack !

This morning was the show and an hour of decisions. The type of decisions one can only make free after a couple of weeks of brain space. My goodness a little bit of down time goes a bloody long way don’t it ?

Made a semi massive discovery whilst I’ve been away but that will have to wit until tomorrow.

A short week for all and isn’t everyone in such a good mood for a Monday.

The sunniest day a kid could wish for. And as a new forty one year old this kid is good to go.

It’s good to be back, no really it is. I feel an important few months coming on. Watch this space why don’t you.

As much as I wanna escape the portacabin, knowing you're back on air at 5 today I will stay here until 4.55 pm then head out for my drive home to your wonderful wit and wisdom.

Good to see that you are in fine spirits after your time off.

A bit of sunshine really makes a difference, doesn't it?

Lets hope it hangs around for the weekend.

    'Cos I'm playing golf!

First time in years. I shall be accompanying the club captain for a round on Easter Monday. I went to the range yesterday to see if I could remember how to hit the ball.

    I could. Sort of.

So, if you have any spare time Chris, I could do with a few pointers!

Have a great first show back. I shall be in the car on the dot of 5.00.

If only it was a short week here - hard to believe, but Good Friday in Ireland isn't a public holiday! It's a Bank Holiday and most companies give the day off as a bonus, but lucky me finds a company that has us in the office for the day! How's about that!!?? So my Easter weekend gets cut to 3 days...boo hoo, I'm coming back to Blighty!

Still, the weather here is most excellent, since the clocks changed it's been great. Pity we didn't change the clocks in January!

Anyone got caught out with April Fools yesterday by the way??

Will be fine tuned for the show at 5, the net connection has had a rest and is ready to go!

Things have moved on in the last couple of weeks, with the sad demise of Moose. The man beneath has decided he needs to move on and has shed the Mooseness we all came to love. Hopefully, he will be back here in one guise or another.

Well, this is my week off work, so am not going to hang around here much this week.

    Hi

Wait til you reach up in the high fifties. Your perception is heightened. Time passes really quickly and for me at least the list of things i want to complete and to do gets longer not shorter. I have more fun than ever. Frankly even the sadder areas of life don't weigh as heavily as they used to.

So my old soldier, Keep Smiling it helps you feel better and it really irritates all the old grumpies!!

Glad to see so many could make it in time for registration - others are conspicuous by their absence and will be reported!!!

HL - bet you made a fab glamorous assistant. In charge of screws too - aren't you the lucky lady???

And yes, it's going very, very slllooowwwwlllllyyyy, I'm defragmenting my hard drive (wish I could do the same to my brain) and it's taking an age. One of the kids has downloaded something dodgy that's causing all sorts of hassle, so decided some long overdue PC housekeeping was required... wish I hadn't started.

WHERE'S CHRIS??? Bet he blogs just as I do....

    S xx.
