hooray hurrah, these weekend are the best by far.

Chris Evans | 16:21 UK time, Friday, 4 May 2007

Come on everybody, I said come on everybody. My Prudential shares are...

... on the up. Up by a load yesterday and a bit more today. How do people know things are in the air? If you have any information about companies plans etc., you cannot do anything with your shares as this is illegal, insider dealing and all that. yet someone must know something and that someone must have told someone who has shares, so effectively this is insider dealing. it must always be insider dealing at some stage to some extent. Another law that mascarades simutaneously as an ass.

Judy downstairs has just given me one of her Bajan fish cakes, the bloody thing nearly took the roof off my mouth. Spicy ? Er...just a tad.

Been flying today, engines off from four feet, not as hairy as you think, quite good fun actually. Sad to read of the heli accident in the week of course especially with a youngster involved, very very sad but fog and helicopters do not go together. I love flying but when there's fog about forget it.

When we communicate again, via the blog that is, the C.I.N. night under the stars will have been and gone and another thousand stories will have been born. After all that's what life's about, collecting more and more storie to show that you were once here, good luck finding yours.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS.

    Greetings from Vancouver,

I would just like to pass on my most sincere and heartfelt thanks for all the kind words, generous thoughts and warm condolences so kindly proffered this week. To each and every one of you I can but offer thanks. Oft words can seem woefully inadequate but when imbued with emotional fortitude and undeniable sincerity, they are nothing short of priceless.

Enjoy your weekend as we all enjoy the present, treasure the past and forge ahead to a bright future. My memories will always glisten, my pride in my wife never diminish and my commitment to living life in a manner of which she would be proud will continue to sustain and encourage me.

Thank you all once more. Take care of yourself and others.

Dr T - I have only just read you post from earlier in the week; I hope I'm not too late in joining the queue and offering my condolences. You sound like a very positive person, which in the face of such adversity is poignant to say the least. I wish you and yours well.

Hope everyone else is doin OK. Apologies for my absence, I will try harder!

Forage away! You'll have a great time.

The numbers are crunched and we're free to enjoy the weekend.

More Road Trip planning, a bit of gym, plenty of work in the garden and lunch at chez CLP.

    Nice.

Why do people take the time to phone an 'all request show' and then request something that is being played 20 times a day anyway?

I don't mean ARF specifically, but why? Use the opportunity to ask for something you love and haven't heard for ages.

Not some old nonsense that is on every playlist, every hour, every day.

    Enjoy your weekend all.

Much peace, love and unearthed CDs from yesteryear.

PS Standing in line to see the show tonight and there's a light on.

MfR - Think we hear the same songs on ARF because if people pick something obscure they are "persuaded" to change their choice, which is why we hear Love Shack, The Jam, ELO and Queen every week.

The forage weekend sounds fun. It beats foraging in the back of the refridgerator for a lump of cheese with a fur coat on,or for vegatables in the drawer at the bottom that have turned to liquid mush.

    Hello everyone!

Just had to blog to say that last night's show was pure gold. I was driving home from work with tears almost rolling down my cheeks at The Buzby's Bin Man interview. The gal did good holding it all together, and if you missed it, then do yourselves a fave a TRY TRY TRY to get it on listen again. That interview alone should get the show nomimated again at the Sony's next year, or even a British Comedy Award in December ....

Also the oung lady who rang in requesting 'Chapel of Love' had me singing at the top of my voice - fantastic feel good toons!

Em M - Burgh Castle is lovely - you'll enjoy it!

As planned, I was up at 5 am today and out on my long 20 mile training walk by 5.30 am. It took me just under 5 and a half hours and my feel are killing me now but I'VE DONE IT!! Only 2 weeks to go now til The Moonwalk. Bring it on!

Mr Diva is away in the Lakes with a boys and beer bonanza so it's just me and the cat and an Easter Egg I've been saving! There's a bottle of chardonnay in the fridge and Joseph is on in an hour!

RIght, gonna ring up and order my dinner now - I thought I deserve I chinese and it'll last me 2 nights so no cooking til Monday - woohoo!

Take care all - enjoy whatever you're up to - but do try to listen again to THAT interview. It kinda summarises why I had to leave my portacabin hell and the waste industry - the conversation was just too scintilating and intellectual for little ole me!

I have found it very sad watching the news this weekend and the pictures of the missing little Madelaine. What that little girl is going through is hard to comprehend. My thoughts are with the family, I have a little girl and I cannot imagine the pain that her Mum is going through it is heart wrenching. I am not a religious person, but I pray to god she is home soon.

    Well, good morning everyone.

Isn't it just lovely starting the working week on a Tuesday? (Sorry if you had to work yesterday!)

What a lovely, loooooong weekend. Very busy (as usual), but also time for fun stuff.

Went to watch junior members of my netball club play at a tournament on Saturday - they all did really well and my goodness, I'm going to have to watch out for the older girls coming through next season!!

Also, went shopping yesterday and bought a fab outfit in a shop I hate (hardly ever go in there) for an absolute snip! What is it about bargains? They always make me so happy and then I have to ring my mum and my sister to tell them all about it!

Madam seems to have settled down a little, so hopefully, the latest 'phase' is over - make way for the next!

CtD - well done girl! 20 miles - phew, that's some distance. Hope Mr CtD had a good weekend too!

Righty, back to it - have written my 'To Do' list and will patiently make my way through it.

Have a GREAT day everyone and remember if today doesn't go quite to plan, there's always tomorrow.

Halloooooo everybody else. Just wanna say a REALLY BIG THANK YOU to everyone who sent their good wishes for me for my course. I was offered a place at the interview, and I've accepted. It doesn't actually start until October, and I'm gonna have plenty of reading to do til then...but at I can do that on the beach, hoorah! The course is for a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, with a Diploma in Hypnotherapy, and an option to do an Advanced Diploma in the third year which is more speciallised counselling - eating disorders, addictions, that sort of thing - and it seems a long way off, but I guess it isn't really...

So, I had a great weekend too...no foraging as the boy had already done shopping, so all I had to do was get the corks out!

Chris - hope the foraging went well.

Hazel - good news re your course, sounds like it will be really interesting.

Cheryl - I'm doing a sponsored walk too but mine's only 10 miles, I take my hat off to you for doing the Moonwalk - good luck.

I foraged for seaweed at the weekend - I read that it's very good to put around your plants to ward off slugs - the little b*ggers had eaten most of my baby tomato plants, so I'm hoping the rest will be safe!!

    Morning CLP, schloggers and lurkers,

How fab to be back at work - NOT. Devon is windy but not rainy yet, which makes a change from earlier this year. Still could do with rain as need the ground to soften up before cutting a terrace into heidi-land this coming weekend.

Well done, HL - if you need a reference re your advising skills, you know you can count on me!

I am looking forward to the stories of foraging/quizzing/discoing adventures. I too was very jealous not to be able to go - I think CIN is a fab idea but it saddens me that only the rich can join in on these things. Surely there should be a raffle aspect on one of the prizes to allow lesser mortals to have a chance of joining in.
