We won.... not one but two !
Jeese, really, honestly could not believe it. I've won things before but never soberly, never this happy. I wish I'd have realised how much more fun it is this way years ago.
The feeling when you hear your name... it's like time stops and then everything goes quiet and you can see everything but nothing quite makes sense and you get up and everyone's looking at you and just beaming the widest smiles and you don't know what to do and the feeling is exactly how you imagined it to be, how you wanted it to be. You make your way to the stage, the people there are smiling at you and you stare and wonder what is you're supposed to do next and then someone gives you a nicrophonae, the clapping, whihc you can now hear begins to die down and you have to speak. But when you do it's like you're not there, it's like you're the one listening, still everyone's smiling and at some point whether it's been ten seconds or a minute or longer, you stop speaking and everyone claps again, a few more seconds and you're back stage having your photograph taken and you're shaking, proper shaking like a scared child. Then it's back to the table and then a few minutes later it all happened again, only second time it was worse ! Don't ask me why I have no idea.
The first award was for the show and they say the second was an individual award but how can it ever be, that's simply not possible.
The team are the best, the absolute best, it doesn't get any better. They are completely brilliant.
And you weren't there last night were you ? Well I wish you could have been, all of you because you are the reason we get to do what we love doing, so thank "you" so very much.

Quite right too!! It always surprises me when I realise that I only get to listen to half an hour of your show each day: you pack so much in that is interesting and fun and the music is always excellent. can I say, when Chris took over i was dreading the demise of the drive show as i hadn't liked Chris on his other shows and I though his style was lacking in humility, if you know what i mean.
However you have won me over, the way he speaks to children and adults alike means he is not patronising and really does seem keen to know what the listerners think. Well done chris a complete turnaround! :-)
Ps, can all your faithful bloggers have a inversion table, £300 for a reliable supplier, I know I would really love one and don't quite have the money at the moment!

Em m-I know Norfolk so amazing! I do love it here. I think its the amount of beaches I love.
I think tomorrow my mum and I might have a trip to Holt (love it there!) and then I have to go in the city on thursday. I used to work in Jarrolds before I got the m.e. I am so pleased I worked there its a great place and an important part of norfolk I think!

Your description reminded me of when my first daughter was born, the nurse handed her to me and it felt like someone had hit the mute button momentarily whilst I had all these smiley people grinning at me... happened on the next 2 babies too... best feeling in the world, love 'em.
Been in the city shopping today, had a scrumptious lunch in Mambo's (missy, mulbarton boy and Em M will know where I mean). MrsW bought some new clothes as she is getting trim again after January childbirth and needs a whole new summer wardrobe.

Here's a funny story about that place. I went there for a meal a few years ago on a hen due. We were having a great time and then we ordered desserts. My mum (who was there as it was her friends daughter getting married) and I deceided to share a dessert. Now I'm allergic to all nuts (no jokes please!) and so ordered a dessert which was nut free. anyway after a few bites i felt a strange feeling in my mouth and then realised i had been eating nuts!!! to cut a very long story short, mum and i had to leave the hen due after i chucked up 3 courses and a lot of wine and dash to A and E, where i was kept in for a few hours!
I have been back since as i love it there so so much but we always laugh about it (what else is there to do) as my hair was dyed pink for the night and i left pink all over the hospital sheets!!!!! I also had a halo on and fairy wings!!!!!

I've never thought about sheds before but now I can see so many possibilities - I suspect that the number of possibilities is a function of the size of your house, the number of children and the demands of your other half. Typically, now I can see the advantages, I have a garden the size of a postage stamp; my shed would look more like a cheap conservatory.
My granddad converted what was an old air raid shelter into a shed, I remember him more by smell that image, an odd combination of damp soil & pipe smoke. The shed is till there & judging by the smell, so is granddad!
At school kids would call each other shed, I thought at the time this must mean "smelly", but now I think it was probably a clever and abusive use of the apostrophe.

...great game, glad the ££££'s didn't win and the Kop sounded superb, the only poor thing about the game (in my humble opinion) was Clive Tyldsey the commentator, sorry folks just can't stand him, ended up muting the sound and putting the radio on.

What a fantastic game - thoroughly enjoyed it especially with the outcome. My ex is an avid Liverpool fan so have watched them faithfully for 12 years or more. Marvellous - and great to see Drogba miss from in front of the goal a couple of times. The cop singing always raises the hair on the back of my neck - Arsenal have always been quite quiet really.
And Clive Tilsley - absolutely! He is so biased he makes me cross.
So maybe giving the nasty little man some money to get Sky TV isn't such a bad plan after all.
I've discovered I'm in Florence for the final - so I'm on a win-win situation. If Man U get through then it's an all England final and if Milan get through, how great will it be to watch Liverpool beat them whilst in Italy!

Clive Tyldesley - It's not his bias that bothers me, its the plain fact that he gets things wrong! "Oh and Drogba thinks he should had a corner (big surprise there) and I think he's right, but unfortunately the referee doesn't have the benefit of TV replays like we do, and it looks like Drogba was right." No Clive, the ball came off Drogba's foot, even with three replays you got it wrong!!!

This would be tonights full moon mucking about wouldn't it.
What a day I've had so far (have written about it elsewhere so I don't upset any die-hards (other Bruce Willis films available) if you care to have a look) but it seems to be getting slowly better.
It was nice to get to work, and you were all here. It is good to have consistency sometimes.
So I just want to say thank you to Chris, again, for the blog...and I'd have been staring out of the window wondering when it all went wrong.
...as it is, I'd say with the full moon...

J - I think you're right, it's ineptitude. He just loves a cliche. I know Motty isn't everyones cup o' tea but he's far superior to CT.
I do like the way David Pleat continually corrects him in such a polite manner.
Apart from all that I'm still bemused how they could miss the start of the 2nd half.........
....and to think they've just won some rights to future football (England and FA Cup I think??)
