hAVING A LONG AND DRAWN OUT DISCUSSION IN THE OFFICE ABOUT....
tonight's WOMAN'S MINUTE.
We always know which ever category we choose is going to throw up a stink but we do honestly always try to make them answerable and as less sketchy as poss. I already feel sick about tonight's topic, I know loads of people are going to complain. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Hotel's.....going well, very excited, oh did i say hotel. I meant, well I meant, 'er. £$%^ wasn't supposed to let on that this next place is a hotel and a restaurant but there you are it's out now. Met the current owners today, actually just one of them. A nice guy named Ian, seemed to be straight up and down. Business is simple it's only people that make it complicated.
Taken to wearing a tweed jacket recently, it's changed my whole mood. I think I'll stick with it for a while or at least till the sunshine remembers it is actually summer and it's supposed to be over this part of the world at present.
All the gang are off to JOSEPH tonight, they're ever so excited, bless them.
Right gotta go, Genesis links to record for the 8.p.m. broadcast this Sat.
Tada.

Blimey - am I the first? Surely not - it's almost 4pm???
Anyhoo - glad to hear you're expanding your business empire CLP - and though haven't been blogging (short story - swallowed by depression, came out other side invigorated and full of life) have defo been listening.
We're starting a new venture too - a copywriting website named after the Squiggly Pig (no, her real name).
Isn't it exciting?
Hope the regulars are all well - hazel love et al. Will try to keep in touch and let you know how it all goes - and hope the blog police don't boot me off , but to you CLP - thanks for keeping the pit from eating me alive.
You truly have no idea how inspirational you can be.

Hello all
No longer homeless, as have been offered accomodation in one of Uncle Jake's properties somewhere in Suffolk. Will try and get back into the swing of things in as short a time as possible. The guy who burnt down my Institute is still at large, and should not be approached.
So, Chris, you are off to see Joseph this evening. My mother never told me why she chose this as my Christian name, but I did find a letter once from someone she had a brief fling with, saying how the name Joseph was the name he would choose. Mmm, now I think about the timing of that letter, it....
better not go there.

Did you see the entry from Ian Webb on yesterday's blog??
A hotel and a restaurant - cool we'll all be able to come and visit now.
Seriously good luck with woman's minute - it always has me in stitches.
I'm busy trying to plan a car change and a break for the Bristol International Hot Air Balloon fiesta in August - last year I went up on the press launch from Queens Square - I recommend it to anyone - fabulous time with early morning launches of 100 plus balloons and the early evening launches with special shapes and fireworks plus night glows - well worth the trip.
Must go - good luck for the show tonight

I closed my eyes, drew back the curtain, ah hah ah!
Man Lee will be fab as Joseph!
OOOOOOOOOOOOO I will have to pay a visit to your hotel when it all goes through. Was saw that Alex who was in Blur on Something for the weekend on Sunday wearing a tweed jacket it looked good on him. So it will look good on you Christophe.
Um Joseph McCrumble, thats an intresting little story about the letter you found!
Right must go and do some more knitting and listen to the show.
Love Missy xx
ps Yippee Neighbours is back! I don't like the fake Doctor!
PPS was mean't to go to Ladies Day at Newmarket tomorrow but not feeling that great today so I'm being good and spending the day at home resting xx
Give Lee a HUGE HUG from little ole me and tell him I'll see him on 28th December - I'll be the one in a box with a long-haired fella and a bag of M&Ms.
Have fun.

Ah the 'Basil....' reference from yesterday's post makes a little more sense now!
Tweed jackets rock I wish I was cool enough to pull wearing one off
OMG - I cannot believe I got a mention and missed it.....what was said?????
Grrrr, that's nights for you, totally miss things at 'normal' hours of the day. Hmph
Thanks for all letting me know, can someone enlighten me please? Haven't a clue how to podcast n stuff so can someone tell me?
going back to yesterdays Audrey Hepburn thing, I have gone thro various stages of doppelganging having the flame coloured hair.
Firstly I was Steve Davis at school (nice), then Mick Hucknall (ok), CLP (didn't mind that at all - even bought the roll neck jumper he wore on TFI from Top Man - other high st stores available), not too many Gingembres about nowadays so it's died down a bit apart from when Hot Fuzz came out!!!
Happy days folks

It must be over the pond I guess. Do I get a prize?
It was good to hear from Dr JMC and that Uncle Jake has come up trumps. How is his cocktail drinks business doing these days?
The hotel business I know a little about, never employ students and allow dogs to stay the two don't go together well. Take a dog accident and a hoover.. nuff said.

Tweed is divine! I love it in all shades. I would do my entire house in tweed. Am I ill?

I've come over all Mexican.
Still, better that than Brazilian, I suppose.
After deciding to have another bash at learning Spanish I have developed a yearning for tacos, salsa and margaritas when Mum and Sis come over on Saturday, I stumbled across a brochure for Cancun earlier which seems to fit the bill for our (possible) sun-fix towards the end of year and, of course, there is my vision of becoming a tequila-smith in Baja California.
Perhaps I was an Aztec in a past life.
We appear to have an unofficial OAMC meet developing at the Brighton-Fulham match next Friday. Quite how we are going to pull it off, I don't know. Maybe we should wear 'CLP' badges or, after this evenings shenanigans, wander around the ground making strange 'trumping' noises.
Anyway. Gym's done, dinner's calling.
Much peace & love

Didn't get to hear Woman's Minute, what was the subject? Not getting much opportunity to tune in these days, childminding is taking off and I seem to end up with half the village round most evenings. Absolutely knackered, really need a break, if you need anyone to test out the beds in your new hotel Chris, I'm your woman - ooer, that came out a bit wrong!
The other night I was telling my husband about putting this chap I know in the recovery position and i accidentally said the missionary position! Don't know why i said that, bit Freudian though!
Take care all you lovely people,
Em xx
Happy Hump Evening all,
Mr E. it's already been in the tabloids about you and the Hotel so "it's out there" already. Are you starting your very own Monopoly game? Get a couple of railway stations and some utilities going and you'll have cracked it. I myself have a property in Park Avenue but it's in a very small village - if you wish to put in a bid....?
Gingembre - you and John Dodds (message below you yesterday) were singled out for the comments re the celebrity list. If you get the chance to "listen again" it was on just after 17.16 - noticed the time on the old pooter. Lunacy - Damien Hirst's fingers in a restaurant - do they come in formaldehyde and a glass case or on the menu?
Hazel - Who/Saxon.... I do believe, I do believe Tinkerbelle.
Take care all,
Wilsmar
Muppet!! It's Reliant Robin, not Robin Reliant. That would be like saying Mondeo Ford, or Clio Renault. (Sorry, have a sad hubby who owns and races a Reliant Scimitar and this is an inherited bugbear from him.)

Eleanor's mum, good luck with the website. Been through the depression thing too, the post natal one. Wish you all the best and good luck with everything.
Em, thank you so much you really gave me the giggles with the positions etc. Hope that the childminding is going well for you.
My childminder told me this morning that she is 'packing it in' and she will only look after my little boy up to the end of August. He has been with her since he was 8 months and he is 4 in September. My new job involves less hours and she can't accept the reduced money which I understand.
My new boss was asking me to complete a spreadsheet this afternoon and when I said 'sorry can you repeat the last bit?' he said 'stop being so nervous and saying sorry all the time' and I said..........!! Oops.
Goodnight.

Morning all
JMC that was an interesting letter. Chris I hope that you're wearing the fabric Tweed rather than the rather dodgy 'scent' - smells of dry cleaning fluid on me.
Wasn't Ali Campbell interesting last night - off to buy the book.
Mange tout xx
Tweed...my cat, Bean, used to smell of Tweed. She spent warm sunny days in the compnay of a dear old lady who lived in the British Legion flats at the end of our road...but as far as jackets go, now, who remembers 'Hacking Jackets'?
Oh, gowarn y'know y'do! With the 'leather' patches on the elbows. Oh dearie me. Mind you Christophe, I think you could pull off jodhpurs. For want of a better expression...ahem...
Eleanor's mum, glad to see you back, and that all is now well. Good luck with the new business x
MESSAGE FROM THE PEDANTRY FOR BECCY:
Thanks for that. I used to have a Reliant Rialto, in the days when you could have a 3-wheeled car with a motorbike licence. I gave up trying to correct everyone in the end...but they didn't mind cadging a lift when it was raining!
MESSAGE ENDS
Hot Fuzz. Conjures up a flame-haired fireman who got a bit close. But that's not for here. DCI I hope you manage to get to listen again!
...and McCrumble, I hope Twins, Dolores and No.3 are settling in to their new surroundings, and I trust that you will find another suitable office in which to continue your work. Very flat. Suffolk.
Aztecs, Saxons, all a bit old fashioned. My Gran'ma used to tell me off for giving an 'old fashioned' look, and my Uncle used to tell me that a Harvey Smith was a Saxon Salute...as for Aztecs...well MfR, maybe you just were. I have emailed you...
Anyhoo, I was larfin and larfin at the trumping last night! Had just escaped from Asd@ (other supermarkets available) and needed a bit of fun.

Morning all, after a bright start it's gone all wet n gloomy - boohiss.
Good news tho' as my guv'nor just called me to let me know I maybe having some more treatment on my injury. Might even go to the rehab place for a week or two for intensive work!!! sounds painful?
I've tried to listen to Tuesday show and my 15seconds of fame but it won't let me for some reason - keeps closing the pc down? I'm not all that good with cumpooters either....never mind.
EmM - wow, what a slip up. Hmmm, did your hubby quickly fake an illness to see what you'd do?
missy - sorry to hear you can't make the races today, hope you feeling top of the pops very soon.
Jo Mc - hope you're settling into the new abode - nice one
MfR/HL etc - have fun at the Fulham game, I suggest you all wear an orange badge to seek each other out?

Morning. Pants traffic today. Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Chris, Sal, and Jonny for making me literally cry with laughter in the car on the way home last night. I don't know why Trumpgate tickled me so much but it obviously tickled loads of other people as well! I kept looking round thinking other drivers would either be in the same state as me or think I was weeping uncontrollably! Hilarious - I'd love to hear it again! It was Jonny, just saying very quietly ... "Was Sal in the room?" Ha ha ha, still making me laugh!!!!
Em M Thats little story made me laugh!!!!!I can just imagine your face! hehe
My hubby made me laugh this morning. Upon waking, I wished him a "Happy Thirsty Thursday". Quick as you like, he informed me that "no - today is peanut day".
Not knowing what he was talking about, I questioned 'peanut day' - only to be informed that 'we get paid on Thursdays so its peanut day' !!
Humour first thing in the morning. Can't beat it!
Laters me luvlies.

can you ever be mad and happy at the same time?
and why are all strawberries half price, have they ever been full price?
so what`s the secret of happiness?
do extroverts enjoy life more?
if religion is so good, why have so many people in history died because of it?
i watched a documentary about a teenage boy who was flown from his tribal family in the middle of a jungle to the UK. On his return he was asked of all the modern west had to offer what he would have liked to take back with him, he said songs!

Lovely faux pas Em M still it wpuld sort out if they were really ill very quickly.
Gingembre - should the bathroom floor not be delayed until the potty training is complete?

Martin, all the strawberries are half price coz they can't shift 'em quick enough before they go off else...as this is supposed to be summer we are currently enjoying...the shops need to sell 'em for what they can get so that the farmers can get paid what they are owed.
Now, my question lies with half price sofas.
1. Why order so many if you've then gotta shift 'em 'cheap'?
2. Do sofas go off. Per se?
..and Gaby. I hope you've got a note.

Hey Chris,
Thank God it's thirsty thursday - looking forward to the drive home with you tonight and totally agree with Eleanor's mum - You truly have no idea how inspirational you can be.
Just one Q for you - what do you think of Wonderjocks? I have posted about them today in my blog...
Would they tempt you lose your 'go commando' rule? I hope not - these babies are real shockers and 100% nylon too.
