AN IDEA
Today I woke up and I was going to do something...
...something a little crazy. Crazy enough to make me sweat at the thought of it.
I walked for a while and made a call. A call about the "thing" to a guy. A guy whose opinion I value.
He said I shouldn't do it. I appreciated his counsel.
I decided to go and see him just to make sure, we hugged and got chatting. He asked two other people to join us. They agreed with him. I, in the end, agreed with them too.
Several hours later I'm pretty nuch convinced they were right.

Hmm, my guess is TFI or Toothbrush returning,
if I'm right about Toothbrush, I'm gutted, I loved it. Now I'm off to play with my light switch just in case.

Oh my God that is just mean to say something like that and then not share. Didn't your mum teach you to share?
I think I agree with him too. Whatever it is we're all agreeing about.

ooo oo oooo please do tell what was it going to be and why were you so hesitant about doing it that you needed to consult....
I've been looking at the updated gallery of the pictures of the CiN bidders from last night - CLP your hair has grown...
Everyone looked and sounded last night as if you had fun.

Nothing wrong in having ideas
After all, the world would be a dull place with people saying .."Oh I would not do that if I were you". At every corner.
I tend to speak my mind and after being wound up by a Spice Girls video on here It gave me an idea.
Someone pay the pilot off on their Spice Girly charter to fly them over the Bemuda triangle.
Good evening.
DO IT DO IT!!!
And I only say that as I want to know what it is.....talk about dangling a carrot in front of us all.......
Ok then - DON'T DO IT!!
Yup,
Gingembre, that's exactly what I thought... .he's going to ask the ´óÏó´«Ã½ for Friday's off, and bliming well get fired again!
And Hazel Love, Also exactly what I thought.... He's almost convinced, but not quite.... I think "pretty much" isn't totally.
What I want to know is "what does the current Mrs E think about it, and the Elder Mrs E". Once we have their opinions I think we'll have it sussed.
Here's my suggestion. Decide outloud in your head. If your undertoad(* see notes) about it goes away, when you have made your decision to yourself then you have made the right decision. If you make a decision and the undertoad (*see notes) stays there. Is the wrong decision. My thoughts are that because you are "pretty much" convinced the Undertoad, is still sitting there. Making you ponder.
NOTES :
UNdertoad. Like the Evil Undertow in the Sea which pulls you under (see John Irvine, The world According to Garp (my Ex Cat)); An Undertoad, sits on your diaphram, just above your belly, and rumbles when you have a decision to make. The Toad, will only leave once you have made the correct decision for YOU!

CLP, I'm guessing too that this is something to do with TFI or Toothbrush, will we ever know???
I was told recently that the first thought, the instinctive thought is normally the one to go with. If your other executive decisions have been based on impulse, it's served you well up to now.
But why don't you ask us what we think, it can't do any harm can it?
Prof Plum, I did notice that Spice Girls The Movie was not listed the other day. Shocking!
Elm, sorry to hear that x
Bloggers I'm not going to pour my heart out on this occasion because I'm moving on with it. It's the right thing to do this time. But to know that I can, if needed, is wonderful and I thank you so much. Kicked the leaves about with little man after school and thought he needs a mum that can focus not wallow.
Onwards and upwards! Wish me luck though xx
I would do it .... listened to both sides of the argument ,,, what have you got to lose ? Only money and reputation ... go for it

What a brilliant start to the programme, had kids and I bopping to Octopus' garden and then to chuck in The Pinball Wizard, made me forget its not Friday.
Got totally drenched collecting kids from school this afternoon, so that little band of rain coming down the country has passed us by in Felixstowe. Funny enough it stopped raining when we got home...hmmph
As for your "thing" something crazy and could make you sweat? Joining a gym?
Anyway, thanks for the usual wonderful show, cheers me up no end.

Thirsty, blustery Thursday greetings....... I reckon you decided to charge round to your nearest video outlet, pick out your newly assembled list of 'must have' films and leave without paying. You rang a friend who's a parole officer and when you visited he got a pal who is a pyschologist and another who is an off duty policeman to dissuade you - a missed opportunity there Gingembre.

I think you did the right thing turning to a friend for advice, you seem quite spontaneous and sometimes people like you need reining in a bit!
Pretty crappy day today, glad it's over (nearly), am off to bed in a min with the latest Good Housekeeping for company, what a granny I am!
Hardly ever getting the chance to listen in these days as my childminding duties are getting in the way, but I did hear the bit about kippers tonight, i think they're yummy too.
Anyone see Marian Keyes on Strictly tonight? I adore that woman, she's my hero! Don't know if she'll get invited back though, she said crap on live TV!
CtD - Well done on your latest weight loss, what was the show you went to see? I really want to see Hairspray and Billy Elliot so I'd love to hear if any of you have seen them, don't want a wasted journey to see a crappy (to quote Marian Keyes!) show.

Yay Hay Wilsmar, Was Indeedy Me.
Did you hear me... ha ha Am most amused by that. My friend is listening now on play again and is highly entertained by my "scabby mazda". Oh it so is!

Chris,
Speaking for all your listeners who've dragged themselves around an ironman (especially Chrissie), please can you give us back the 42.41 miles you stole on Tuesday evening....
When 'listening again' to Tuesday's show, last night, I was shocked to hear you repeatedly quote the Ironman distances as 2.4 mile swim, 112 km bike, 26.2 mile run. The Bike section is 112 miles and every single mile is extremely hard earned, please can we have them back?
Many thanks, and love the show.

Hello all. Feeling no better for a dry and smoke-free evening, to be honest. I was in bed by 10:30 and I'm still knackered. Detox? Schmetox!!
Elm - sorry to hear about your sad news.
DWNB - am so jealous. I don't have a car so I can't join in on Woman's Minute. Chris, can people using public transport take part please?
Debbie - admiring your attitood.
BigBump - congrats. Lovely name too. What about Eva's Mum for your new blog title?
Have a good 'un x
Weeey Heeey - it's FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Em M - the show was Desperately Seeking Susan. It's a new version of the film of the same name which Madge did in the 80s, only with the music of Blondie. The music was good but he plot was a bit on the thin side!
Haven't seen Billy Elliott or Hairspray but have heard they're both excellent. We're off to see Joseph over Christmas - I was a minx and booked a box so I can drool in private at Mr Mead! Then Phantom in March 08. We were due to see Phantom this July but Mr Diva had the indecency to come down with apprendicitis and was in a theatre of a very different kind when we should have been in the West End!
I'm sooooooo tired today. Glad it's Friday. We've got the v-e-t tonight for Madame JaJas (Sooty) annual jabs - thankfully it's only 2 minutes from our house in the car - she swears at me in "cat" all the way there and all the way back. I never knew my driving was so awful!
New tv coming to Diva Towers tomorrow - very 'citin! Only I've got to wait in for it ALL DAY coz they can't give me a time for its arrival. Ugh! Mr Diva will be at work when it arrives so I shall play on my "helpless female" persona and get the fellas who bring it to set it up and everything. Sometimes you just have to ...... !
Drats at missing Marian Keyes - she is my absolute all time fave author. Love her to bits. Many of CLodagh's musings on here remind me of Ms Keyes. You don't think that ......... ? ? Nah .... surely not .... !?!??
Righteo, time to get that nose to the grindstone.

Hi Chris,
I know I am probably too late to put in my tuppence worth, but ...... something in your gut made you hesitate and that's why you asked your friend that you trust so much.
Usually, I'm with the "trust your first instinct" brigade, but this idea is obviously big and risky. You have probably had the best advice - for the time being. Also remember: if it's meant to happen, it will!
Big Bump: how absolutely wonderful for you! And such a gorgeous name. Eva Rose will one day be your best friend - she's gonna lead you a merry dance before then, though!
Can I just say to our Norfolk bloggers this morning - I hope you are o.k. Sounds horrendous in your neck of the woods.

And now I'm blimmin' well t'interwebless at home.
Arranged to migrate from one BB supplier to another. Never a good idea unless you have to, but, alas, we did have to.
MAC code. Check. New supplier ready to push button. Check.
Um. Isn't someone supposed to send me a new box of tricks to plug in?
''Oh yeah. We've had a bit of trouble sending those out''
Great. So they push the button, cut me off my current supplier and don't bother sending me the stuff to allow me to 'take advantage of their wonderful product'.
And. To rub salt in the wounds, they leave a message on my answering machine congratulating for going live and hoping that I am enjoying the service.
Anyway. It's ARF and a wonderful weekend is in store. Just webless, thats all.
Have fun

Now CLP are you going to tell us what your crazy idea was? Come on you can just tell us.
So Norfolk is now under the sea. Well that a lie but I just looked on news 24 and the tide at Lowestoft is mad! Everyone is wrapped up in water proofs.
Meanwhile I write this all wrapped in my pj's. I have yet another cold and the worst saw throat. I am taking everything possible and have had the worst nights sleep. I'm praying it gets better for tomorrow as the 'fella' is coming round tomorrow night and I will NOT give him this cold!
So guys and girls whats the gos?
Ginembre- did you go to Chapelfield last night to see the snow? It was packed! I went for a little while but then started to feel awful so came home about 6:30.
Love to you all, missy xxxxxxxxx

PS. CLP can you at least give us a clue? x
Was it to do with buying a certain radio station back? A quick google suggests that under its current owner, some scottish tv stations, pearl and dean and virgin combined are worth less than you bought the radio station off richard branson for in 1997.
Surely that's got to be worth throwing some small change at? You don't need to desert radio 2 though, you can just run things from afar. (and get rid of the current breakfast show dj - awful. bring back pete and geoff, the next best thing after you. Some of us are too young for terry, bless him)
Hey missy - hope you feel better soon hun! Get the drummer fella to fetch nice shiny things and chocolate. Surefire winner!

Was it to be a contestant on Celebrity Get me Out Of here? I very much doubt it, but if i was a celebrity and was asked that would make me sweat.
Chris i have two questions-
What happened to the vibrating plate gadjitty thing, did it stop working?
finally, after all that weeding, fencing, planting etc are you now moving on?? Being an allotment holder i would be devastated if i had to sell or give it up, the loss would be too big, the time, sweat, enjoyment, connection, at times its the only thing that stops me from moving, is there any regret?
Congratulations BigBump on the safe arrival of Eva Rose (lovely name) I agree with others you should now call yourself Eva's Mum.
To anyone living near the coast in Nofolk/Suffolk and Kent - I wish you good luck twas watching the news this morning and they were showing Blakney and Great Yarmouth.
Travelling to work today past Poole Quay and our tide is really high - only two foot off the top of the quayside and the breakwaters in the harbour. HMS Cattistock is visiting today.
Looking forward to a quiet weekend.
Good luck to everyone - will check in again later - still no broadband at home grrrrrr

Well, the kitchen company has gone bust which means I won't have a kitchen for Christmas.. great, no sink just a tap.. Still it will be like camping out, quite exciting really.

Prof. As I may have mentioned before, we are having Goose. You are more than welcome to join us.
Just catching up after a few days away
Films - no one seems to have mentioned Walkabout. Superbly eerie film and brilliant photography of Australia by Nic Roeg. Shame his later films got wierder and wierder.
Another one I love seeing over and over is Being John Malkovich. I love the idea of the half size 13th Floor
Bonus episodes- I watch QI back to back on Fridays ´óÏó´«Ã½2 and then ´óÏó´«Ã½4. This of course means I see every episode twice. If anything they are funnier the second time!
The Weather - Hate to say it but it is gloriously sunny here in Central London but I didn't have get soaked yesterday!
Hello lovely people,
Been rushing around this morning, here to work, took little man to doctors, back to childminder, chemist then back here to work!!!!! Just stuffed me face with a huge ham, cheese and tomato baguette from the pub next door and I'm reading for a nap now! Actually, last night I managed to sleep right through till 7 this morning hurray!
Anyone that finds the dark evenings hard this time of the year, I was flicking through my calendar yesterday and the shortest day is on 22nd December. Then, slowly, the days get longer and lighter. Hurray again!

Hazel how kind. Actually my daughter in London said she won't come home for Christmas if there is no kitchen, so I have to pretend thats all's well. I have an invisable kitchen.
Good luck with the Ozzypath. My problem was self inflicted .... riding the old rollar coaster at Coney Island. I was really looking for that fortune telling machine out of the film..... Big was it can't remember. Anyway it was horrific ...

Hi Chris
I live in Boxford, and have been to the White Hart many times.
I've seen all the pictures and heard the storys.
The previous owner Barry, would talk for hours about the wall of death with the tiger.
I've only lived in Boxford for 5 years, and far too young to have seen this for myself, however I'm sure it is 100% true.
Many thanks
