AN IDEA

Chris Evans | 14:51 UK time, Thursday, 8 November 2007

Today I woke up and I was going to do something...

...something a little crazy. Crazy enough to make me sweat at the thought of it.

I walked for a while and made a call. A call about the "thing" to a guy. A guy whose opinion I value.

He said I shouldn't do it. I appreciated his counsel.

I decided to go and see him just to make sure, we hugged and got chatting. He asked two other people to join us. They agreed with him. I, in the end, agreed with them too.

Several hours later I'm pretty nuch convinced they were right.

What I want to know is "what does the current Mrs E think about it, and the Elder Mrs E". Once we have their opinions I think we'll have it sussed.

Here's my suggestion. Decide outloud in your head. If your undertoad(* see notes) about it goes away, when you have made your decision to yourself then you have made the right decision. If you make a decision and the undertoad (*see notes) stays there. Is the wrong decision. My thoughts are that because you are "pretty much" convinced the Undertoad, is still sitting there. Making you ponder.

    NOTES :
UNdertoad. Like the Evil Undertow in the Sea which pulls you under (see John Irvine, The world According to Garp (my Ex Cat)); An Undertoad, sits on your diaphram, just above your belly, and rumbles when you have a decision to make. The Toad, will only leave once you have made the correct decision for YOU!

Haven't seen Billy Elliott or Hairspray but have heard they're both excellent. We're off to see Joseph over Christmas - I was a minx and booked a box so I can drool in private at Mr Mead! Then Phantom in March 08. We were due to see Phantom this July but Mr Diva had the indecency to come down with apprendicitis and was in a theatre of a very different kind when we should have been in the West End!

Films - no one seems to have mentioned Walkabout. Superbly eerie film and brilliant photography of Australia by Nic Roeg. Shame his later films got wierder and wierder.
Another one I love seeing over and over is Being John Malkovich. I love the idea of the half size 13th Floor

Bonus episodes- I watch QI back to back on Fridays ´óÏó´«Ã½2 and then ´óÏó´«Ã½4. This of course means I see every episode twice. If anything they are funnier the second time!

The Weather - Hate to say it but it is gloriously sunny here in Central London but I didn't have get soaked yesterday!

    Hello lovely people,

Been rushing around this morning, here to work, took little man to doctors, back to childminder, chemist then back here to work!!!!! Just stuffed me face with a huge ham, cheese and tomato baguette from the pub next door and I'm reading for a nap now! Actually, last night I managed to sleep right through till 7 this morning hurray!

Anyone that finds the dark evenings hard this time of the year, I was flicking through my calendar yesterday and the shortest day is on 22nd December. Then, slowly, the days get longer and lighter. Hurray again!

    Love

Hazel how kind. Actually my daughter in London said she won't come home for Christmas if there is no kitchen, so I have to pretend thats all's well. I have an invisable kitchen.

Good luck with the Ozzypath. My problem was self inflicted .... riding the old rollar coaster at Coney Island. I was really looking for that fortune telling machine out of the film..... Big was it can't remember. Anyway it was horrific ...

    Hi Chris

I live in Boxford, and have been to the White Hart many times.

I've seen all the pictures and heard the storys.

The previous owner Barry, would talk for hours about the wall of death with the tiger.

I've only lived in Boxford for 5 years, and far too young to have seen this for myself, however I'm sure it is 100% true.

    Many thanks

    Nicolette
