SINGLE FILE

Chris Evans | 16:15 UK time, Friday, 9 November 2007

Before I shed some light on today's title, I have a confession...

...I've been in the doghouse all day after saying something very stupid to my wife last night, forgetting for a second how amazing she is and how bloody lucky I am to have netted her. She's just about forgiven me but it was definitely a yellow card. You live and learn.

So, anyhows, I have a friend called John, he's mid fifties but looks a decade younger, a stoic Glaswegian, ruggedly handsome with one of the deepest, gruffest lived in voices the human ear has ever witnessed and he is SINGLE !

He's dead nice. He's had a hugely interesting life, still has, he lives in a lovely house with a huge garden and is also more than capable of paying his way. He's generous, funny, loves a beer and is one of the most layed back individuals I've ever come across.

So what do you reckon ? Any ladies in the Sout East, 35 +. Bring it on.

Oh and if I repeat what I said last night ever again, I may need a few phone numbers too.

CLP

X.

2007.

Have a good weekend y'all.

don't worry - all our men are in the dog house occasionally but it will probably be blown over by tonight - especially if you do what ever your lovely wife wants to do all weekend and do all those odd jobs that you keep meaning to get round to -

bit young for your friend and attached but good luck to him!

I assume you're pal, John, is single for a reason i.e. he wants to be? Despite occasionally thinking it may be nice to have a permanent "significant other" I eventually conclude that I have an amazing life and that I am best leaving the un-broken life as it is. If John is as nice as you say he is, I am sure that when he feels the need for a bit of female company, there are numerous ladies willing to offer their services and enjoy what John has to offer. Fortunately, life is not a one size fits all affair. Some people just don't need one person to make it work. Lots of ingredients (as long as they are the right ones) make for a very interesting recipe. Secret ingredients are all well and good but until you know how it will interact with everything else there's not much point meddling with a recipe that works for you. I am in a very philosophical frame of mind today for some reason.

Your friend sounds really nice and i am the right age but I'm afraid I an married! I have a little sister who is 31, fluent in several languages and a size 10 - would she be OK? Let me know if you want to know more about her.

I was furious with my hubby the other day cos he heard they needed extras for the latest Keira Knightley film but he didn't tell me and the kids and then we heard that one of our friends spent last Sunday mingling with the stars AND earning 拢70 a day! I was seething! I'm sure Mrs E's gripe is something a bit more importnat, she looks pretty laid-back so I think you must have said something pretty bad to upset her! My advice would be diamonds are a girl's best friend, buy her some beautiful earrings to get round her.

    Have a good one everyone,

If you referred to having 'netted' her or even something remotely like that I'm not surprised she was angry. Also have you asked your friend John if he wants you to fix him up on any dates. I'm single and sick of friends telling me about this or that great guy who would be 'just perfect' for me. This presuposes that I'm looking for 'leurve'. I'm not, and happily single - if the right chap comes along then fine and dandy, but I ain't hunting and if any of them even consider the term 'netted' they'll out on their - well you can imagine the next bit.

Bit ratty this morning - sorry! xx

    Big Bump - Congratulations!!!!!!!

Bingo - loving the Credit Crunch! How about "A moment on the lips, a lifetime in debt!" as the strap line? I wouldn't mind being your Chairperson - a nice fat golden goodbye would be very welcome, and if I get done for fraud and put inside I might be eligible for free dancing lessons - win/win situation!!

Poor Marie - I bet you didn't mean to post the same post so many times did you (DID YOU????)

Happy Monday everyone - nearly home time woo hoo!

Debbie - I blogged a massive THANK YOU this morning for the Randy Brandy news. It would appear that the BP have not let my grateful musings through. So, I'll try again ...

    Debbie - Thank You!

    Good afternoon everyone,

I went to a very emotional service in Poole Park yesterday and remembered all my lost friends and acquaintances - and said hi to my grandfather who survived Singapore pow camp.

CLP whatever you said to Natasha I hope you made it up over the weekend with lots of hugs and words.

Never go to bed angry with each other.

To all other bloggers and lurkers I wish you all a very good week.

I fit your requirements but live in Dorset - sorry, I'm sure your friend John will have lots of luck finding a soul mate.

Hey... how was I supposed to know the blog had a bug! Apologies for the multiple posts, I sat all Saturday trying to post or preview my mail without realising it was actually sending...

See I told you I had a few dumb moments

    Still interested, but not desperate
