BON BON BON.
Five Matchmakers, just five that's it, I can't suffer...
...the calories of the chocolate drawer at home and now the Friday chocolate haul at work.
It's all too much. I have this theory that I can only eat a bad thing after a good thing.
It works, sort of, except that it doesn't at all 'cause all I end up doing is eating twice as much.
So far this afternoon...spinach, tuna salad, bag of salt and vinegar crisps,a pear and half a box of Matchmakers. D'oh.
Anyhow, hey ho, off tomorrow for a week, so well on the way to an extra stone anyway.
Have a good everything everyone.
CLP.

Food - really like healthy stuff, M-i-l always comments that as everyone else is scoffing chocolate and cakes I'm raiding the fruit bowl! Wasn't always like that - quite often would drink over 2 litres of diet coke, and masses of chocolate bars i.e. 500g bars!!! Then the coke turned to guiness and the bars into Mars bars. Not sure why but now fruit, veg, toast, and savories are my food tipple.
Holdiay -Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy - the crisis will all be forgotten about by the time you come back (well we don't keep refering to the one after twin towers and that was quite a serious blip too!)

But. The goalposts have shifted, ever so slightly.
I DO have a new job. But, not the one I thought I had.
Ha! Confused? My head is spinning.
The truth is, this morning, up in wonderful Colr, a deal was struck.
A deal that leaves your friend in a much better position than before.
I never thought I'd drop the clutch and slip back into reverse, but this was something I couldn't turn down.
It did mean backtracking and letting a mate down, but these are incredibly difficult times and whilst I don't wish to sound heartless, we all have to look after our own.
By the way, he understands. He has been there, and he said that in the same circumstances, he would have done the same.

Well bath done. Managed to chill out but was greeted on exit by angry LM (woke up) stressed teen (waiting for lift) and very grumpy Mr Debbie (just because he can).
TTT I still ground our 17 year old. I believe in 'hitting them where it hurts' that sounds terrible I know. But when he crosses the line he has to know that there are consequences. Do I sound very harsh? Sorry if I do but it's so stressful here sometimes.
PP hope that you are ok and can make it tomorrow, understand it it's difficult but would be nice to meet you all the same.
Matt, you are right and you must look after 'number one'. Good for you and glad that it has all worked out your way.
AF hope that you are feeling better now, Chrissie hi, Scooby hi ....anyone lurking hi!
So tired, off to the sofa for a bit now.
Hope to be back soon zzzzzzzz...x

Don't worry they grow up give them some rope is my advice.
Goodnight early start .

I felt very understood much of the time, trouble is, try to be understanding and they still feel misunderstood! Aargh!
Actually I think it's just a natural rite of passage, but oh it's wearing!

TTT - just read your bit. You might have a point! Having just endured a smidgin of last week's X factor I find myself longing for a bit of discipline and above all some British "Stiff Upper Lip"!

Gentle reminders and a few horror stories to make them aware. But I think teenagers can be great fun if you play them at their own game if you know what I mean.
Really hope to see you tomoz.

I'll be thinking of all of you today - very strange feeling so connected, when I don't know any of you! Have a great time.
PP - I did mean to say to you last night, you are so right - we must give our kids some leeway, or it will all go horribly wrong. I know this sounds unlikely, but we have never had to "ground" our daughter. She really doesn't give us too much grief, but oh boy, she can be moody!

Well not since stumblin' on that stag party in Cork with the GBF Damian and that wasn't our fault. Just because Damian had diligently studied his book I bought him on Sailors' Knots. All them rugger buggers looked like summat Damian Hirst would cook up, lined up nicely along the quayside an' tied neatly to every bollard.
No sense a humour them coppers.
