It's getting better, he's getting stro-o-o-o-o-nger !

Chris Evans | 12:36 UK time, Wednesday, 11 February 2009

Doting dad day 2...

Sorry about this but what can you do? I woke up this morning and there he was again, the best little boy in the world.

I had to check to make sure it hasn't all been the most fabulous of dreams.

Noah is officially the nuts. He is the coolest of baby dudes. There is just something about him, he is, as Jonny says, a zen baby.

Thank you so much for the now thousands of messages of good will and good luck. Tash is overwhelmed by the warmth of your correspondence and is genuinely blown away.

We have printed off every single e-mai as they have arrived here and I am constantly ferrying them to the hospital.

The party on the radio last night was the most enjoyable show I've ever been involved in and also one of the most effortless.

The team, always first rate, surpassed themselves with their generosity of spirit and support from the office in the day, during the show at teatime and then afterwards when they took me for a "couple" of drinks and a big fat Sally Boazman-supplied Montechristo cigar.

I smoked it all by the way, even though it took me forty five minutes out in the freezing cold and I don't even like cigars but it was worth it, one of those occassions where it just had to be done.

Desperately trying to come back down to earth today but having major trouble with re-entry.

One more flash of those baby blues before he retires into the kingdom of kiddom.

Noah Evans

And he still hasn't cried!

CLP.

Smoking a cigar with a couple of drinks after the birth is a man thing, and rightly so. I'm with you on that Christophe.

Don't come back down for a bit. Stay where you are. Enjoy it.

And watch that re-entry when you do finally come down from that cloud.

Remember where the last re-entry got you.....Daddy :-)

Have never posted before Chris - am an intermittent listener (only because of my work and my demanding toddler!) but have been waiting for news of the birth. Congratulations to you and Natasha - welcome to the rollercoaster that is a new baby! Sending you all the love in the world xxxx

P.S. Loving the pics, Noah looks like a very wise, all-knowing (albeit very small) old man yet he is just an ickle baby, how curious! He is gorgeous, making me broody - or at least I will be until my toddler starts playing up again!! :-)

Congratulations to you both! I don't normally write on blogs but the warmth and tangible, pure joy in Chris' voice was a delight on last nights show. Even my boys, Jake ,8 and Gus,5, were thrilled, especially Gus as Noah is his middle name.

Noah is a beautiful boy who will thrive with such obviously doting parents. Wow!

Many Congrats Chris and Tash on the mighty arrival of little Noah. From the photo, you guys have done very well!!

I've been reading and enjoying your blog since its humble beginnings... but alas never commented. However over the last few months have waited to see what you were gonna call the new baba. Don't ask me why, but I always had this strong feeling that you would choose a name similar to the name we chose for my five mth old son. Similar minds or great minds, Im not too sure, but we called our son Noah James John. Enjoy the little one guys..

Look at how wonderful it has been sharing Chris and Tash's good news, totally uplifting.

    Hi all 3,

Just wanted to add my huge congratulations to all of you, plus all the happiness in the world of course.

I too have an aquarian zen boy child, although he is 25 now, his innate wisdom, inner peace and wisdom hasn't abandoned him since the day he was born and he has amazed me every single one of those days.

Before you think this is going to deteriorate into a mothers tale of embarassing adolation, please know that in those 25 years we have had our ups and downs, some more serious than others but there remains a very settled and wise quality about him that the nurses commented about on the day he was born.

I count myself as very, very lucky and hope that you both experience as much love and happiness from your son as mine has brought me.

    Love and Peace xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ps talk about a roller coaster. At very short notice we have to move the Sett. Just another thing that was going on yesterday. Within fourteen days. I'm having a look at somewhere else tonight, and I think we'll take it. Even if it's a rat-infested fleapit with mould on the walls. The Badger should fit right in...heh heh heh!

    thank (h)evans for lovely news

Chrissie: strange isn't it? That we watch the news almost out of habit. Think I'll avoid it tonight.

#90: My LM was born with dark hair that went blonde and has now gone dark again. And his blue eyes turned hazel within a year! Truly amazing.

    Argh Mr Evans,
Just read yesterdays blog and saw that little Noah had the cord round him a couple of times, our little man had that as well when he popped out last year.......... the little toe-rag!!
Anyway, make sure you stay on that high as long as you can, the sleepless nights in the coming months soon take it away!!
    CONTRATULATIONS.......................
