So where do we put the star of the show?
Just loaded up the car and...
...because of all the pressies, there's hardly any room for the wee one.
He is good to go though so I'm sure we can squeeze him in somewhere. Noah had his final weigh "out" this morning, he's been foot printed, had the general full once over and even found his voice. Yes, he has finally cried!
Mum has moved on from producing semi-skimmed to the full fat version of Noah food and as a result experienced the "milk shakes," for most of the night. A bizarre phenomenon that ladies have to go through when their body becomes a full-on food factory for the first time.
So, fuelled up, in all senses of the term and it's time to hit the road.
Once again can I thank you for all the ridiculously kind, warm and generous messages the three of us have received over the last week. I promise you we have read every single e-mail and blog post together.
One more snap,
His latest gift from our former boss the great Lesley D who came to see him this morning,
Rock and roll all the way Noah, come on let's go. Buckle up the ride starts here.

Mizzdarcey - I not only remember all you wrote (ie lying on tummy etc) but hubby wasn't allowed at the birth and evening visiting was for daddy's only! Babies were fed by nurses during the night in the nursery and were finally brought into the ward for their 6.00am feed! We also had to do exercises before an hours rest on the bed in the afternoon, baby was again moved to the nursery during this time. The rest was great but what a shock when we went home!
Thank goodness all that changed and my grandsons, like Noah, came into a much more relaxed environment. Bonding and being mum and dad from the moment of birth has got to be best.
Good luck to Mummy, Daddy and son x

There's another Lovely Little Tune that I simply can't dredge up from anywhere, if you can find it, give it a listen, it'll bring a tear to your eye, won't be a dry seat in the house.
It's from Mack and Mabel and it has to be the old version, years old, by Robert Preston. It's called "I Won't Send Roses", and if anybody here has a hubby or had a daddy like my Dear Departed, it'll get you right there.
Hand on heart by the way, not the seat.

Hellenbach1, yep I'm going to see someone else about it I think. She gave me a print out about this particular one and it totally scared me off. Side effects: possible anxiety......erm but that is what I would be taking them for?
Tiggs, I would like another one but Mr Debbie totally doesn't. And to be honest it isn't a time to be thinking about it.
Coincidence Tinsel.....you've just reminded me that I need to do the same! Ta.

Is it? Ah no, musta missed it; not here most of the time, see; anyway, I'd just like to get it, just to keep.
Now Debbie.
I'm not a doctor and wouldn't dream of saying this here, but..
If the doc has suggested Prozac to you, please give it a go. It may or may not be right for you but please try it.
I, like you, was very wary of anti-depressants, thiking they were 'tranquillizers' but they did the trick for me, and I wouldn't hesitate to use it again if I needed to. And I'm fairly certain it wasn't the placebo effect, as I truly didn't expect it to work, was just going through the motions. You should never take it long-term but then again, if it does the trick, you shouldn't need to.
Sometimes the chemicals in our brain are messed up and compromised, and it's this imbalance that the drug is designed to address.
Apart from this, please ask about the talking therapies. Counselling, the right sort, of course, is an excellent tool, and I'm guessing it will help you enormously. You seem to me, given what I've read, to drink in other peoples' guilt and issues, and that's not good. You need to talk to an impartial, professional person who will get to the bottom of this for you.
You're a sweetie and it makes me feel sad for you when I read how bad you're feeling sometimes. I've been there. Still go there sometimes if I'm truthful. But now I can pull myself out of it; I'm lucky to have the GD unfailingly behind me, but you can do it.
You can.
Wishing you well.

And just a thought, Debs. The St. Johns' Wort. It can interfere with the contraceptive pill so watch that or it'll be a case of Be Careful What You Wish For....
And the diet. Watch the refined carbs. Where you can, replace the white grains with brown, plenty green-leaf veg, etc.
And for goodness' sake, if you drink Coke or diet drinks, ditch them immediately. Lethal.
It's the blood-sugar being interfered with and messing up your serotonin levels that causes havoc.
Sorry, this is sounding like right old lecture. But if it helps, I'm unapologetic. If it doesn't, well, it won't kill anyone.

I've been in couselling, but my counsellor is retiring which I think is causing me some problems at the moment. A bit scared about trying to manage on my own.
A few years ago I went to an Anxiety Management Group which helped massively. I'm going to dig out the information I was given then and read through it all again.
You telling me that I can do it has brought tears to my eyes thank you for telling me that. I can do it can't I.
Em thanks also. Am seeing someone different next Thursday.
Sorry I've done it again haven't I? Won't go on about it anymore, just that all your opinions mean alot to me.
Love you all loads

I know it's not easy if yer low or short of money but force yersen ter get out more.
Join a yoga class - excellent for meditation and calming - many only 5 pound for 2 hours!
Join the gym - A know it sounds awful if yuv noot been for years but seriously... exercising releases endorfins thingys majigs.... aka the 'appy chemicals in the brain... makes you feel stronger, fitter, sexier!!!!!
Slowly if yer keep it up... yer become fitter!!!
At school I waz the unfit kid at the back of the group in running... now a can outrun most at the gym on the mill of the tread!! (PS This bit iz noot an ego commentation on my part)
Many gym memberships of the large chains only a tenner per week for unlimited use of all facilities including saunas, swimming pools, yoga/ fitness classes!!!!!!
Even ave nusery facilities and child gyms!!!
Also just a walk/ cycle in the countryside or even going for a dee out/ ride on the train ter somewhere of interest.... say York for example... a beautiful city right on the railway network!!!!
Join a club of any sort, be it the church, something like golf or whatever floats yer boat.... a sailing club if yer want yer boat floated literally - know what am sayin'!!!!!
'ope these few ideas 'elp Debbie... they really work for me!!!!!
I try ter avoid anti-depressants if ever am down, and always 'ave, az they are a false remedy and yer can end up addicted ter them!!!!!

I don't drink coffee, not many fizzy drinks at all.
I was thinking about taking fish oils or evening primrose.
My diet is terrible, don't have breakfast and sometimes (mostly) so anxious that I don't eat all day. Then night time, stuff myself.
Got a lot of work to do haven't I.

I fully endorse Clodagh's suggestions. I don't want to bore you with my history, but don't be afraid of medication - it will, in the short term, get you through. But don't rely on it completely.
Once you start to cope better - 'cos feeling is something that can take a long time to get back - think about other strategies such as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) to support and then eventually replace your medication.
It is a slow progress and may take some time to recover. There will be days along the way, and perhaps years in the future, when you struggle to manage but you will. Everything you have learned about yourself, all of your experiences, will pull you through.
You clearly have the support of some amazing people on this forum. You are worth it. Go back to or change your doctor. Take a friend who cares with you. Let them be your voice, but please don't roll over. You can get through it.
Hugs.

Clodagh, I'm with you on the anti-d's. As I've said before I truly believe they saved my life and I'm still on them at the moment. I THINK I'm fairly normal ;-).

I speak as someone who has never been where you are now but I do know that diet can have a huge influence on how you feel, I am not for one minute saying it will solve your problems but its got to be worth a try. Try planning waht you will eat for each meal at the beginning of the day- it takes the effort out thinking what to eat when things get on top of you.Taking control of something always helps! I totally agree with Clodagh cola drinks etc are the worst!!
I can understand that you only want to take 'natural' remedies but if they change your mood why is that different from taking 'unnatural' remedies prescribed by a doctor? If it works in the short term and gets you somewhere where you can sort things out without them then why not?
Not sure I explained that very well.
