I am sure your editor loves you. When I worked in Medical Publishing, the same couldn't be said for those authors as they were very demanding. But if you think about it, if you are a world class surgeon, and used to demanding (and getting your own way) whilst performing life saving surgery, then you are going to demand the same from your Editor!! Beez - Not sure where in the Midlands you would be coming from, but to Norwich I'd go M6, then A14, then A11 takes you all the way into Norwich. A11 is about 95% dual carriageway now, and A14 is all dual. Not too bad so long as you don't attempt it rush hour on a Friday night!

Gutted I can't make the Norwich meet - would be home territory!

Todays resulting in losing brakes abd steering on a steep s bend on Exmoor.

PurpleDragon.... totally spot on with those directions.... nowt ter worry about B's Mum A14/ A11 very fine road.... D/Carr practically all of the way!!!!!!

It's just the end of the A14 right by the end of the M6 and middle of the M1.... MADNESS!!!!!!
In fact it fills me with total ANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am feeling... ANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man do a wish a could get off these roads and onter the rails before a go off the rails!!!!!!!!!!
Why are we so mad in this country.... WHY?????? A tell yer!!!!! AYE?????
The A14 they turned the whole damn it lot inter dual carriage all the way... from 'untingdon ter near Rugby.... 40 plus miles of road building..... 40 plus... yet what do they do at the very end????.... The busy junction were it meets the M6 and M1?????..... They do nothing.... like Manwell knew nothing.... they do nothing!!!!!
That's what they've done.... NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!
Spend millions building 40 miles of road.... yet the very end bit, instead of building a proper 'igh speed junction/ flyover/ slip road intersection of the section.... they funnel all the A14 traffic inter one lane and put in two mini roundabouts!!!!
Result...... sometimes especially on a Fridee night.... a 10 ter 15 mile jam of traffic at the end of the A14 & often a 4 plus mile quewe on the M6.... WORLD'S RUN BY THE INSANE!!!!!!
Ave a spelt quewe coreeectly????????.... Am past caring!!!!!!!!

Hey MTF, how are you?

Weather it hot and v sticky today, too hot to do much to be honest. According to the weather forecast it got up to 95 degrees F. Could really do with a thunderstorm to clear the air a bit - shame the thunder would send the cat bananas though!

Nothing wrong with British customs! I had someone ask me the other day what a British Stiff upper lip is!

ps. we moan about our fuel prices here and they're equiv to about 60p a litre, it's even cheaper in US isn't it?

MTF, that is indeed something to ponder over!

We are currently paying about $2.80 for a US Gallon, and if my maths (usually a bit rubbish!) is right, that's about $0.70 a litre. So roughly 45p? feel free to correct me if my maths is unreliable though!
