Hey everyone whaddaya reckon ....

chris_abba400.jpg

... I is ready for Abba In The Park - the tribute this Sunday and I can't wait. Tash made me put this on before she left for Noah's music class this morning. .

Life is love and work and fun. The first two are essential but without the third, there's no point. It all has to be fun. Not my words, the words of the great Alan Alda from his autobiography..

Listening to Ken this morning with the Scissor Sisters blasting out of the builder's beat box whilst we had a chat about the women's footy last night. It's Friday morning, the sun is shining, and my mate just popped round to show me his new self confessed mid life crisis sports car.

"No such thing as a mid life crisis," I said, "you're just remembering to have fun."

Happy Friday you lot.

Hi ChrissieS, glad the weather has cheered up with you. A bit of sun is good for the spirit.

Eb, not a genius, just was a desperate mummy a few years ago, became addicted to House of Tiny Tearaways, adopted most if not all of Dr Tanya's practises and now have a wonderful clever young boy who goes to bed 99% of the time without a worry. His older equally wonderful and clever brother has always loved his bed and was never a problem!

Oh my! Now that is some sight and a good reminder why we should never return to some of the 70s fashions! Bet everyone has a ball though at the concert.
What a talented lad you have Chris - music lessons before the age of one? What is his instrument of choice - maracas?

  • Comment number 16.

Ooh, I just posted this and it went to last Friday's blog...

Hahahahahahahahahahaha, Christophe you're a corker in that outfit (Seza, Anne Robinson????)!

Hello hello bloggers, on this beeeeyooootiful Friday morning! The sun is shining, I swam 1500m yesterday, and I'm going home an hour early - all is right with the world :-)

Have to say, Christophe, I'm with you on the 'starters' issue from yesterday's blog.I almost always prefer starters to mains, and often ask for 1 or 2 starters instead of amain (people look at you a bit funny, but who cares!!). Prefer Thai to Chinese though - the take-aways are always a bit gloopy and you can practically taste the additives!Thai always seems... cleaner.Hmm, might be tempted tonight ;-) But no indian food - might be blasphemous given where I live, but I just don't like it!

Debs, how much had you imbibed when you decided that fanning your tongue with a fork was a good idea??

Seza #73 - fabulous marketing from that company!I love fireworks myself, but only watching them, I don't like the loud bangs. And I hate party poppers too, which my brother insists on getting for every Christmas lunch (ooh, sorry, am I allowed to say the C word yet?)

Scoobs #77 - if Derren Brown is appearing anywhere near us, can I tag along?Haven't seen the show yet, I've recorded it, but I've seen one or two others and he's fantastic. But yes Deev, slightly creepy in that odd way that contemporary magicians seem to be...

AliB #132 - sounds like a great morning!

Rips #145 - am imagining you out 'on the town' in Glasgow in full clown outfit now hahah.

All this talk of cocktails is making me thirsty, and it's not even lunchtime! Can't do most cocktails as they contain vodka (technicolour vomit in a classy cocktail bar is most definitely frowned upon), but I did enjoy a pitcher of something in Peterborough one year.Unfortunately, on ordering the 2nd pitcher of same, we found out it wasn't the right one, and forgot to ask what the 1st one was...

Seza, if you're handy with a needle I've got a few bits need altering!

    Bridge, happy holibobs!!

Deev, picnic sounds fab - how about some ginger ale (or will it interfere with the gin?)

    AF x

ps ARF - Hourglass by Squeeze please Christophe!

pps I've never had toad in the hole either...

  • Comment number 17.

LOVING that outfit, yeah baby!!! Anyone else think there's a hint of Austin Powers about CLP in that photo????

I think Noah will be playing his instrument of choice, the cardboard toilet roll tube.

And yes, to echo everyone else, thank you for the love and the fun Mr Evans.

Ah, Christophe, first thought, Gary Glitter dressed as Chris Evans, second thought, (SEZA), Anne Robinson dressed as Gary Glitter. Of course I'm talking about 1974ish...sigh of relief when I read the blog...it's Agnetha!!

Anyhoo, is Noah the next Child Prodigy? What instrument do you have in mind for the wee man? I could see him playing the clarinet...or the vile lin...Noah Mae...or similar.

Other news. Thank you for all your good wishes and thoughts. I'm just back to work for the next couple of weeks doing very part time, still taking the tablets, probably for about another month, and the Badger finally has some work, so hopefully we're gonna be on an upward spiral for a change.

Can I ARF? Hard Day's Night - The Beatles please. Coz it has bin, but it's getting better! Many ts.

Tinternet being Tempermental at home, so I have very little access to anything unless I hit it with a hammer, and I also don't have a letter for my absinthe...

Ello CLP And ALL Blog Friendlies.......

    Bingo Star ere........

    WWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@!!!!!!!@!!@!!!!!!!

CLP, A waz nearly gonna call nine-one-one on 911 or 999 on the 11th of the 9th month , a tell yer..... a thought there waz a silver UFO invading the blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But then on closer inspection a thought it waz Alan Carr getting ready ter do 'is Saturdee Show.... Then on closer inspection a thought it waz Autsin Powers on.... ACID!!!!!!!!!!@!!@!!!
But then on closer inspection of the photo in question.... a see it's yersen CLP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A tell yer, all will certainly be able ter spot yer at the gig wearing that..... or will they >>>>>>
A 'ope it's noot gonna be a case of like when women turn up atta party or wedding in their new special dress and another iz wearing the same DAMN IT dress!!!!!!!!!!
It could be a case of CLP if the 40 members of the cast of Mama Mia are wearing the same you'll blend in CLP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talkin' of Mama Mia.... great musical, went ter see it years ago when it first opend in London!!!!!!!!

Am sure the BIG Thank You for the music gig is gonna be brilliant for all who are going..... really wish a waz going!!!!!!!!

A waz gonna surprise the blogger who's name am noot allowed ter mention and take 'er ter the BIG gig in 'yde Park aka The ABBA tribute but sadly she's away..... but ave gotta an even bigger surprise for 'er next weekend..... noot gonna give it away but now...... butta can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All I say it's the BIGGEST EVER of what/ who or INDEED where we are/ might be going too!!!!!!!!!!

Any way.... a 'ope and am sure CLP & all who are going ter the Abba gig will aver a great time.... 'ope yer all do!!!!!!!

So this iz the BIG one.... weekend am talkin'!!!!!!!

It's the Italian GP and Fisichella's AWESOME debut for Ferrari..... still can't believe it meself!!!!!
A get such a great feeling Fisi iz gonna win or get on the podium!!!! But really only a win will do!!!
And if 'e does win..... 'e will become abit of a national 'ero in Italy az the italians go mental for F1 & in particular the Ferrari F1 Team so if an italian wins the italian GP in their much loved italian Ferrari..... it's gonna be mental for Fisi!!!!!!!!!!@!!@!@!!!!!!!!!!!!!@!@!@@!@!
A just 'ope 'e can get used ter the car fast. Az 'e under the rules 'e can't test so literally this iz Fridee's practice iz gonna be the first time 'e gets ter drive the car.
And although similar ter the ForceIndia car that 'e been driving all season.... the Ferrari will feel a lot different and particulalry the KERS system which Fisi 'as never used!!!!!!
A just 'ope all goes well and the weekend doesn't become a learning exercise or Fisi end up crashing out!!!!
Am sure though az 'e exits the long sweeping right 'ander aka the Curva Parabolica at 105mph and drives down that VERY long, long, long, long, long, long, long............. long pit straight accelerating/ building speed maxing up to 210 terrrrrr 215mph.... 'e will 'ave a very long, long time ter glance at the thousands of red Ferrari flags waving in the crowd.... and this alone will make 'im think about just what it will be like if 'e does win!!!!!
In fact I think it will make 'im try just abit 'arder than normal & 'e might just think az 'e gets ter the end of the long pit straight, one of the longest straights in F1 nowadees if noot there longest, (might ave guest that from all the longs above) just 'ow late can 'e slam on the brakes inter the 45 terrrr 50mph chicane.... aka the chicane that's small on speed but also goot one of the longest names of any damn corner in F1 aka the Variante Del Rettifilio Chicane..... the later 'e can brake the more time 'e will gain.... unless 'e brakes too late and messes up the chicane!!!!!!!
Na, a getta good feeling ere this iz the BIG one!!!!!!!!!! The Beguim GP I predicted ter be 'THEE' race for Fisi but this iz 'THE BIG ONE!!!!!!!!'

Also it'll be interesting ter see 'ow Fisi's replacement at ForceIndia gets on aka Tonio Liuzzi... I don't rate 'im meself as that talented, still MEGA talented ter be in F1 but noot nearly az fast az Fisi!!!!!!!
Plus yer 'eard it ere first..... I wreckon although Fisi iz gonna be Ferrari's #1 test driver next year..... I think without a doubt Vijay Mallya will 'ave Fisi back az 'is #1 driver at ForceIndia...... yer 'eard it ere first F1 dudes!!!!!!!!!!

'ope all ave an AWESOME weekend.... a know a will with the F1 gig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@!!@!!!@!!!!!!!!

    GOURANGA TER ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!@!!@!@!@!!@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@!

Look, it's not my fault Moet haven't yet mastered plastic champagne bottles! The tickets ask that no glass is taken into the arena at Hyde Park and a bottle of champagne is a pretty expensive thing to have confiscated. Non?

Scoobs - didn't buy an orange - all gotta be packed flat and economically see, for carrying. By Mr Deev, natch!!

Back In Black = Russell Brand Scandalous tour!!!!!

There just seems to be something very wrong about that outfit or is it just the hair?

Had a very very bad few days this week so looking forward to being cheered up with your show. I have only just this minute signed up with an account here and is my first experience of a blog. Am I really that outdated????
