Thank You For The Music Blog Pt 1

Chris Evans | 09:45 UK time, Monday, 14 September 2009

The Travel and Money sections always gets the full brunt of Noah's assault on the Sunday papers - mainly because Mummy and Daddy will not be reading either.

He also specialises in the pull out advertising sections or mini brochures. This week the Lifestyle promotional supplement and Exotic Cruising from £750 also took a bit of a battering.

He was just about to get stuck in to You magazine when our front door buzzer sounded and who was outside but Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllll. His Ma' lives around the corner and so we now find our paths spookily crossing more and more. We have organised our first writing session for ten years this Friday - v.v. excited.

Supposed to be at rehearsals for the Abba gig by three, so just hung on for the start of the GP in Monza before setting off for Hyde Park.

Other highlights of the weekend:- Bazza Manilow in the park Saturday night, Tash and I watched it via the red button. I have to say he was absolutely awesome. Burn After Reading, a fine film that we caught on Sky which received undeserved weak reviews when it first came out. Finally, the first two chapters of Dan Brown's new book serialised in one of the papers - I don't know what anyone else thought of it but I was hooked from the off. Ordered my copy a second later.

Right, where's my spangfest of an outfit, time is agin' us.

    Morning CLP

Indeed, Lord Manilow of Bazzaland was fantabulous! I danced and I danced and then I danced some more. It's how it should be, non?!?

Although I can't type on here what Mr Deev's reaction was when I kinda suggested going to Vegas to see his residency show ..... was I joking? Who knows ....!?!?

    Live and let live.

    Morning All,

CLP - Those mag inserts are great - used to keep the boy quiet (apart from the rustling that is is!) for hours!
By all accounts the concert was fab - couldn't listen as putting the boy to bed, but will endeavour to listen again asap!

Rips you're description almost had me in tears this morning.......I can't wait for the boy to be a old enough to go to concerts / the circus etc.

I really should be thinking about packing for the move - but where do you start??

Morning CLP and everyone out there in blog land. I listened to the Abbafest yesterday with a house full of people. I'd been up early making party food and carrot cake and things were just starting to wind down a bit when the show started so it was great background music to start and then by the end had the last few of us singing our heads off. Brilliant!

Can I say a big thanks to Aunty HazelLove from El-Bumpo for having a star named for him. A very special present from a very special person.

Right... work calls... must do some!

Drove all the way home from Blenheim 3DE with my horsebox rocking to the concert, it made the journey (3hours) go like a flash... what traffic on the M25? Was there traffic? Very new to 2 and looking forward to Chris on in the mornings, so I can dump the commercial ad and chat station with the occasional tune.......
