So I'll do my bit and be happy that there are people in this world who are generous enough and able to donate the big moeny

  • Comment number 4.

    Morning

Baggy - we are doing out bit for CiN (thanks to Hells Bells, CLP's Producer) on 20th when we venture into the scary smoke to take phone pledges.

Have you got your Pudsey ears yet?!?!?

To be honest, as lovely as the prizes are, I would be absolutely petrified to be let loose at the wheel of one those babies! For now, I'll stick to the Micra!

    Whoop Whoop - tis Chewsday!

Oh wow Chris, that is amazing.

Can't wait to see how much money is raised in your name for this Children in Need

Like all here (I expect) I would love to be able to bid for any of these but am really looking forward to coming and answering phones on CiN day. It's so cool that whatever we can do, big or little, will make a difference.

Might there be a possiblity we will bump into you on CiN day?

    Seza xXx

PS Love the Feeling. Saw them at the Radio 2 Live gig you hosted at the Indigo and they blew the room away. FAB

  • Comment number 6.

Seza and Deev - i haven't forgotton about our answering phones - I just didn't want to keep on about it - but I'm really cited ;-)

Haven't got my ears and t-shirt yet - need a trip to the bottom smaking place at the weekend to pick them up

  • Comment number 7.

Ooooh do they do t-shirts?? Fab!!

    xxxx

  • Comment number 8.

    Chris,

Truly fantastic prizes and I hope you raise alot of money for CiN. When are we going to see you hosting the CiN on the evening then - Terry seems to be retiring from most things and you seem to be taking some of them over...?

    Nic

  • Comment number 9.

    Morning Chris,

If only I were a rich woman or married to a rich man! The prizes sound fab and you do a great job for CiN, your generosity in letting complete strangers drive your precious motors is quite overwheming - well done.

I am feeling as rough as a badgers wot-sit this morning. Really light headed and woosey, hope it's nothing serious! Oh well lots to do, people to see!

  • Comment number 10.

    Morning CLP and fellow Bloggers,

Having managed to clear off the credit cards, the temptation to load one up for such an amazing experience is great.....However, until the economy is a little more certain, I will have to wait for another year.

Fingers crossed that you keep this huge event going then!

I will be keeping an eye out for one of the tables though.

Totally agree with everyone else though - how generous and selfless to give your incredible collection of the worlds finest cars to Joe public for two days.
And as for the Top Gear add on.......Gutted!!!

Just a thought - How much to rent me your Phantom for a weekend?
All in the name of CIN naturally....Haha

Good on you Sir (and I wonder how long that will be?)

    Rips

  • Comment number 11.

How about a team of car washing bloggers on standby??

    MTF.xx

  • Comment number 12.

MTF - what a great idea - I would be 100% for washing the cars at a pitstop!

Driving round the topgear track with the stig is on my list of must do things before I die but knowing what the prizes go for I don't think we can manage it unless the ticket in my pocket is a winning one - lets check!

  • Comment number 13.

Right thats the first 2 buckets taken then.

    MTF.xx

  • Comment number 14.

    Chris

    - what a prize - if I win the lottery between now and then, I might be in with a chance of bidding . .

Fair play to you - hope you make a fortune for the kiddies . . .

Looking forward to hearing it all on the radio . . .

    DtM x

  • Comment number 15.

Christoph, I've said it before and I'll say it again what a top bloke you are, and for a truly wonderful cause. Living so close to your pub I wouldn't have far to travel, but sadly the bidding would be WAY out of my league, but that won't stop me doing my bit for CiN. ELH!

AliB, hope you perk up soon x and indeed anyone else under the weather. Talking of which, a bit of a mixed bag here but sunny at the mo.

    Morning everyone else.

'Ave just considered goin' back on the game to raise funds, but it's chilly an' a bit gusty out there on the streets a Dublin in the short skirt an' fishnets, and these days I'd 'ave a problem with refunds.

    Morning all

Bit of a late start here as it took me forever to get to work this morning!

Had sunshine earlier, but now the skies are as dark as a dark thing, and it's tipping it down. The rain also woke me up in the night (thanks MTF for your concern at 2am)!

I really wish I could bid for these prizes, but it's out of my price range unfortunately, will also be doing my bit though.

Have just been reminded that I've got some important stuff that has to be done by tomorrow...oh joy!

    Good morning everyone,

CLP you really are the best!! I so wish I could bid for one of the tables but never mind. I shall do my bit locally, as Penny said "ELH".

Christoph what a gem you are. With your precious cars too - I wish - like all else - and I'm mad jealous too - speshly the Top Gear bit.

Pleased I'm too late to grab a bucket - would play havoc with my nails - but I'll supervise if that's OK MTF - just in case someone misses a bit !!!

Big hugs Ali - get better pronto and do what Rips said - go home - can't be a poorly person on a plane.

Weather in Warwick today is sunny.
Quiz night again tonight. I suspect another change of format is afoot, to stop us winning again!
Off to London tomorrow on a day's training I booked myself on months ago, so an early start to catch the train. Not looking forward to London or the tube as I find it very depressing. Still, I get chance to read Chris' book on the way train so every cloud etc etc.

    Hiya gang

Ok, Grade 2 Scrubbers it is. So that's (without reading back so sorry if I miss anyone), me, ThunderclapN, Girlracer, AliB? Anyone else want to play.

Not sure though if Grade 2 Scrubbers have to scrub the scrubbers?!?!?

DS Games!! I've got Sherlock Holmes and Broken Swords-Shadow of the Templers (so TeenBoy! tells me) Really good, puzzle solving games and the Broken Sword one was only about £15 cos it's been out a while!

Can I be a Grade 2 scrubber, that job title fits me to a tee. And I would bring my guitar so we can sing as we scrub:

Scrub scrub scrub scrub, scrub scrub scrub scrub, scrub scrubadubdub

(To the tune of The Spam song).

I'd love "Lot 1" of the Drivetime Auction but I'd have to sell my house, and I am legally obliged to provide my teenagers with a roof over their heads until they are 18 (after which we plan to move to a rose-covered cottage in the country).

Cars not for me though, I spend enough at the bodyshoppe as it is.

    Afternoon peeps
If there is still a space I too would like to audition for grade II scrubber, or chamois 'wringer-outer' or buffer and fluffer, or just someone to make all the scrubbers cups of warming tea/coffee/hot choccie.

    evening all, hope you're well?

well broadband has been returned to chez gingembre after a 2 week wait following our house move.
Hmmm, the house move nearly didn't happen either, keys only arrived at 5pm but heyho we're in now and lovin' it.
Love the CiN prizes, tad out of my price range methinks though.
Busy week at work, you may have seen why on the news.
