Pit Stop Blog

Chris Evans | 15:21 UK time, Friday, 29 January 2010

Having difficulty doing anything other than following the Blair evidence at The Iraq Inquiry - gripping stuff, hearing how the leader of a nation decides whether to go to war or not and all the legalities involved.

Heavy goings on.

Peace and Love.

P.S. Come on Andy.

    Hi Chris,

I really don't know if I can stomach watching Tony Blair. But I do thank you for the Pit Stop Blog!

Can I say to you, re: this morning. PLEASE keep The Candy Man - it is brilliant! Bless Moira this morning when you asked her if she liked it ... and she said she prefers Mr Bojangles! I think she missed the point, but not to worry!

    And, yes, GO ANDY!

Dreamer: well done! I know you are busy, but I did leave a wee message for you at the end of the previous blog.

Rips: oooohh, that did hurt a bit, didn't it? But, go on yer mate! I also left a message for you - just to say I hope you and Max have a wonderful day tomorrow.

    Hi gang!

I'm back from my impromptu visit to Brum. And I found Cannock station first time. I got on the right train and everydfink - I even made a new friend who was headed to The Mailbox for an afternoon with her girlfriends in the champagne bar - memories eh Beez!?!?

Interview was more of a prelim chat but I feel it went well and would be very surprised if I don't get a second interview in the next week or so.

Then got back and .... drum roll ..... found Tesco without having to yelp for help. So, shopping done, car unloaded and goodies put away. Now I need to hit the kitchen and make that lasagne I've promised Nic.

And put some beers in the fridge for him for later...... start as I mean to go on!

    ;-)

    Lovin' your work.

Chicken Kevins are something that EVEN you could cook - they come in a lovley silver tray, have garlic butter in the middle and tiny breadcrumbs around the outside and they magically cook themselves when put into an OVEN (that is ON) for 30 minutes! ta da!! preferred version MoftheS shop

How difficult is it to buy chum mixer? 3 shops yesterday and 2 today, had to go to a large ELH in the end, just for that! Hmmph!!

Anyhow, Mr JG has vetoed every car suggestion I've made, so Scoobs, if you've got a plan, please let me know!

Actually the problem is, everytime we find a car we kind of like, the fuel consumption is not much better than what we're already getting.... and it doesn't help that I only average 12-15 mph getting to work, hence the 19 mpg!

MC - glad you escaped the cooking (again)

MTF, surely you are not walking in the dark? It's freezing out there!

Greetings Ter CLP & Blogger roooons......

Bingo Star ere coming to yer from Knockholt Pound, Greater London......

CLP - Yes a waz listening ter the Blair bit on The Jerr Vine ´óÏó´«Ã½ radio show, very interesting stuff & a bit that brought a tear ter me eye when they started reading out the names of people who've died in the Iraq war & then when Jerr opened up 'is mixer inter a tune that everyteem a 'ear it lately makes me a little 'motional... a tune thatta can't get enough of lately... could be me fav tune of 2010... what iz the tune... Alica Keys with Empire State Of Mind!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME TUNE!!!!!!!
Back ter the important stuff though.... yer 'ear all those names being read out & it makes yer wonder why in 2010 we still can't learn ter live in peace!!!!!!!
Az for Blair no comment except the man should be put on trial.... letta court decide if 'e iz innocent or guilty or war crimes!!!!!!!!!!!!

An important weekend ahead for Andy Murray... be most brilliantly great if 'e wins but it won't mend broken Britain - know what am sayin'!!!!!!!!!!!

This weekend am gonna do something very important ter me too, something ave wanted ter do for years & years & years & years but always been too shy, nervous ter do, even though ave felt it deep inside me since a waz a kid!!!!!!!!!!
So one of me most important new year revovlolutions am gonna follow through this weekend!!!!!
The only thing in case it goes badly wrong am gonna keep stum until next week exactly whaqt it iz!!!!!
If it does go well.... then a will tell all about what am gonna do this weekend!!!!!!!!
Feeling a bit nervous about it, but someteems when yer get so down in life.... suddenly it's a case of survival & been nervous & worrying what people think of me suddenly no matter..... errrr matters!!!!!!!!!!
All a will say by BIG coincidence am accidently doing & following in the footsteps of one of me 'eros... gonna be in their neck of the woods..... where they did/ still do do their work!!!!!!!!!!

Another of me new year revovlolutions iz ter get me music making up & running!!!!!!
Ave finally goot me midi keyboard & music computer up & running ter create layers of tracks of music.... build songs!!!!!!
Only thing ave gotta learn 'ow ter use the damn thing!!!!
If am 'onest a looook at it & find it very daunting!!!! But when ave goot so much music inside me just waiting ter burst out..... ave just gotta get stuck in & DO IT!!!!!!!

Another of me NY R's iz ter practice me guitar 'arder!!!!!
It's all coming tergether... a can now, sorry know, play all of the main chords with me eyes closed it's becoming so natural.... only problem still struggling ter grasp advanced bar chords!!!!! Can play simple bar chords easily.... but one of me best friends... aka me capo.... am finding very useful ter cheat & do the baring of the frets for me!!!!!
Coming out with some really pleasing/ interesting riffs/ sounds!!!!!!!
Only thing am noot practicing me guitar as mauch az i'd like az work really seems ter dominate me life... aka doing 15 'our dees!!!!!!!
But gotta keep going & try me best ter succeed this year!!!!!!

A feel this year iz me last year ter try & get me music going.... if a find am no good at it.... then a will ave ter settle for me dream career of trying ter get on the railway!!!!!!!
Gonna finish me maths this year & get me GCSE in that at the same teem az me music!!!!!!!!!
Very important ter get that behind me!!!!!!

So far for me NY R's.... so far so good!!!!!!!!!!!

'ope all ave a good weekend.... am gonna try my best ter!!!!!!!

    Take care bloggie lovelies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seza, I saw a young woman getting out of a car dressed in her pjs etc , and her hair all in rollers. As it was outside the doctors, i thought she may have been poorly and not been able to get dressed properly . God, I'm so behind the fashions its untrue .

PS saw that grey hair is coming back too...........

Annie G - Play yer A minor then keep exactly the same shape with yer 3 fingers & just simply jump em all up one string (terwards the lower sounding strings aka closer ter yer 'ead aka the toppa the guitar aka UP)... that's an E major!!!!!!!!

Grey hair is getting fashionable in this neck of the woods, as I refuse to colour my hair!

Shopping in PJ's has been going on for years in various parts of Manchester and Liverpool....not in Wigan though, so far as I've noticed, but then I only shop in the evenings!

It sound like a recurring nightmare - caught shopping in your sleep attire (or lack of it like me and Seza).

I see our celebrity stalker is being stalked by his celebrity - what a brilliant thing to happen.

    Watching Silent Witness - scareeeee.
