Morning Chris,

Not sure what it is about The One Show but if I'm home I always watch it. The subjects covered are brilliant in their diversity and massively varying levels of seriousness.
Gyles Brandreth is superb at what he does on it too.
It's sort of addictive.
I got to see the second half last night and enjoyed it as much as ever....

I have to say though that until Alex spoke, I had forgotten that it wasn't Christine.......Christine - Mmmmmmm!

Good luck with your first stint on Friday night Sir......what with all your focus on your waistline, can we expect to see the return of the naked parade?

CLP - I'm really looking forward to Friday and seeing you on TV again. I agree with Rips, the One Show is a good format with interesting articles. I like the way that a subject is presented on a film then the presenter is in the studio to add supplementary information.

Off soon for day 2 of the new job (day 1 was OK so I decided to go back).

Happy Birthday Deevs (sorry I got the day wrong the other day).

Still not sussed out the internet policy at the rock face so will be out of action again during the day.

I catch the one show sometimes - that lovely Matt was on it for a while - so looking forward to seeing you on it - althought this Friday I have asked for the afternoon off as time in lieu (well I can ask) and I hope to be on my way to my anniversary weekend.

Feeling ill today - just have to work through it but you might all want to stay clear!

Can someone help me join the football league thing? I set up a team but couldn't find how to join the party?

CLP - great 'One Show' last night. Enjoyed the new presenters and to start it off with a Whoooopi and 3 nuns cracking a terrible joke about breast feeding - classic stuff, nothing has changed.
Looking forward to Friday, I can adjust the TV back to 4:3 format if you like to make you look slimmer then you can eat all you like this week.

Wait until next year when you will probably be coming to us in 3D. Imagine that, Mr Evans sitting in your actual living room !!!!! Um, maybe not.

Good Morning CLP & Everyone.

I'm really looking forward to The One Show on Friday Chris but what about Emmerdale. This got me thinking to how opposite these two shows are. One is full of happiness and t'other is full of doom and gloom.
I'm going to record The One Show and watch later in the evening. Then if there are any distractions I can pause or rewind and not miss a thing.

But how can you talk about Christmas, this together with the fact stuff will soon be appearing in the shops, is not on.

MaddyMoon - don't get me started on Emmerdale - I loved the days of Emmerdale Farm with Annie Sugden, Amos Brearly and Mr Wilkes - they would turn in their television graves if they saw what goes on now. Gave up watching 7 plus years ago. Got the early ones on DVD though.....

Hi MM, I'm with you on the Emmerdale/Corrie storyline thing, they always follow the same theme, I have given up on both of them now - too boring for summer time, will catch up again once the dark nights come in.

Going to see Paolo Nutini tonight in Paisley Town Hall, really looking forward to it, but on the ticket is says that they hand out more tickets than they have space for and it's first come, first served, however I don't finish work till 5pm so it's going to be a mad rush with no dinner, never mind, I'm sure it will be worth it.

just back from 2 weeks in Majorca - fantastic time - loads of swimming and beaches - amazed at how small boy (5 yrs) improved his swimming in that time - can now swim between your legs underwater and was happy to swim in the "big sea" off a boat 2 days ago!
I feel like I have been out of action for ages and wondered if anyone could confirm a) when the Cornwall Camp-out is happening and b) whether passers by can just turn up on the day (even if they don't need to camp as they live down the road?!).
its just that its very early to get up and out of the house if there is no room for (5 bar) gate crashers!!

Hope everyone is ok and has had a good fortnight.
