I think its the places that you have 'been' that act as a guide for where you are going.

Ok Andy, luckily, I only have myself for company again this afternoon.

Mental note to self, dont wrap said sarnie in silver foil. For some reason (which I'm sure some intelligent scientist would diagnose) the pong is accelearated when wrapped like this!

Then, as you mentioned, the after pong.LOL!

I accidently had onions in my wrap today - I'm going to be tasing them all day - and I've already had some mints!

I have forgotton a lot of my childhood etc and there are very little photos so much of my life pre mr bp is a blank - not sure if thats a good thing or a bad one!

Yes, the world turns so quickly now. Todays newspapers will be used to wrap our fish and chips tomorrow. What used to cause an uproar a few years ago, now goes on without anyone batting an eyelid.

CLP - couldn't listen this morning as I had a 0700 meeting, not all bad though - it was on the 14th floor of a building in central London with views over the city and the sun rising behind it.
If only I could start every day like that.....alternatively - I'd quite happily start it with the foxiest string quartet since Basil Brush joined the LSO in my office....another pinch yourself moment was it?

Speaking of which - I've just caught up and noticed some of you adding your 'pinch yourself moments'.
Mine has to be the time that I was paying for fuel at the BP station on the M40, I finished the transaction, turned around and saw CLP who in the middle of a fairly crowded shop - shouted "alright Rips!"....I'm still dining out on that now.

Baggy - great to see you taking the big step, it will pay dividends in so many ways in the long term x

Deev - stick with it and keep looking. It's always easier to find work when you are in work - apparently. Good luck with the creative writing. Can't imagine where your inspiration will come from! x

Dreamy - I wasn't ignoring your non-invitation invitation to the rugby but I have to watch Wasps more than I'd like anyway thanks to my club's affiliation with them.

Thanks for all your lovely messages. I am hanging in there, and trying my bestest to be strong with a capital S. I've ordered some St John's Wort today so hopefully that will improve my mood a wee bit too.

I'm going to see an agency tomorrow pm (before my other interview) about another PA job. At least there's stuff filtering thru - I guess it's jsut up to me to go all out at interview and seize it with both hands.

I've also had a chat-cum-whinge to my boss about how bored I am - the result of which is that she's actually given me something to do - huzzah!!

And my colleague and I must've looked really cheesed off earlier: two of tenants went out to a local cafe for a "breakfast meeting" and brought us both back a sausage sandwich!

Oh, and said same colleague thinks I ought to write a series of "Divalicious" novels, a bit like the shopaholic ones but with more attitude!!

Right, post to frank and boxes to tick ..... oh I know hoew to live!

Baggy - Mid November isn't that far away and most firms would expect you to have to work some notice period anyway. But if the ideal job gets offered and they need you to start then you should go.

After all your current employers have not been overly concerned at your welfare over the last few months and what's the worst that can happen, even if they don't pay your notice period, you'll have a new job and get paid for that.

Do what needs to be done and if you get the right job offered, just go for it.

Deev's - Divalicious sounds like some sort of mills & boon/ jilly cooperesque best seller just waiting to be written. No doubt set in the midlands where bored Pa's are swept of their feet by ruthless accountants!

Just been speaking to dear 92yr old uncle. He's coping so well since my Aunt died a couple of months ago - he's just finished doing his washing!! I can't imagine what it must be like for him - 68yrs married and they loved each other so much.

Baggy, dont worry about notice periods, obviously if a stonking job comes your way, then you just negotiate and leave. As Andy said, they werent overly concerned at you digging an early grave for yourself, so i am sure the next victim , will soon be in situ. Just take each day as it comes, and i am sure it will all fall into place.

Annie, dont panic , Maureen is alive and well, i have received a message from her on FB this evening.

Have been to the gym tonight and my legs hurt, so i have had a cream donut to ease the pain , now i need another for the other leg .

Bathroom looking rather bleak, plaster board on walls and bits of pipes sticking out , am sure they know what they are doing.

Our past definitely shapes all of us, everyone should learn from the past but try not to dwell in it. What's gone is gone, and we can't change it, but we can shape our own futures.

Have been mainly lurking the last few days, have been feeling somewhat low, you know that post holiday come down? I had been so ready for a break from work and then it was back to earth with a bump at work on Friday. But onwards and upwards I guess.

Glad to hear that Chrissie is ok MC. Cant wait to see your completed bathroom. We had to use next doors bathroom last year for 2 weeks while our plumber took his time to come and fix our shower, ho hum!!

Then there was the time that our cooker blew up on Christmas Eve and we had to cook the turkey 3 doors down. Hurrah for great neighbours, and how hilarious was it, for those that didn't know, why I was running up and down the road with a turkey baster, in my flp flops!!

Falling flat on my face, carrying the gravy boat full of turkey juices was a bit embarassing, but Bisto saved the day!

Well I'm back and haven't a hope in whatsit of catching up with the blog from the last 15 days. Actually we were back just gone midnight last Friday/Saturday but haven't been feeling wonderful. Strange i was fit as a lop in Italy.
Monza was incredibly hot and the race a bit processional but an experience again.

Annie, yes, it was in the paper last week. I have only just had my summer holiday. Dont get sucked into the hype , we need to stand firm . Tins of toffee were £5 EACH at the beginning of the week, now they are two for £10 !!!!!, thats quick marketing.
Now ask my how much something useful like a pint of milk is , and i havent got a clue.

Hi all ,
Just popping in briefly to say hi,Got back from holibob s last night ,had a great time ,saw lots of chateau's and vineyards.
Enjoyed some wine tasting ,just loved the food .

What I did find this year is that It's getting quite expensive in France now to what it has been in the past ,likewise with the duty free on the boat .

But I did purchase some lovely bottles of wine from the area of Saumer ,so will partaking of a tipple at the w/end .

Back down to earth this morning, IE work ...Oh well !!!

Hope everyone is Ok ,I'm sure that I'll catch up on what you've all been up to .
