Well today has quite possibly been the longest afternoon of my life! I'm sure someone stopped the clocks at around half one. Thankfully it's now time to close down Reception, and head off to the gym for a bit of a workout, a bit of a swim and a bit of a sauna before going home and cooking a delish chilli-garlic chicken thing for me and Himself.

I'm back from horpital after meeting the MOST ineffectual idiot doctor EVER - oh, since the one that mis-diagnosed my snapped achillies that it!

Dear Lord - why me???

Anyway, still in boot, hopefully I will meet a more competent Physio on Friday who can actually read my details, know what has happened to me and actually tell me what the plan is and how soon I can walk/drive etc

Give me strength - thirsty thursday anyone? (yes I know its Wednesday - but seriously......)

Hi CLP and tout le monde,

Well your life is a hell of a lot more Rock and Roll than mine at the moment! I've had the week from hell so far; over the weekend I was in agony with an infected wisdom tooth and ended up at the out of hours emergency dentist on Saturday evening being rpescribed a course of antibiotics. Then yesterday my boiler broke down, just as I was in the middle of having a shower! The nice gas engineer came and fixed it this morning so at least I can have a proper shower in the morning!

So I am SOOOO looking forward to 5pm on Friday, when I'll be finished work for 6 days. Going to Sweden on Saturday morning and really really can't wait to get away, I have never been so ready for a holiday!

Seza really don't know what the weather forecast is for the w/end .Hope it clears up for you all and that you can have your picnic ,just love them .

JG ,don't go doing to many of those chores ,why not plan your w/end around just you and Finlay and take him out ,isn't there anywhere like a large park or there's got to be plenty of walks to take him on ,I'm sorry that I don't live closer or I would come and annoy you .

JG/Seza - I could do with a weekend of doing nothing too, but it's not going to happen. I'm really looking forward to Saturday - we're taking Nics little man to see Joseph and his coat of many colours in Brum. It will be my 6th time of seeing it, and it's definitely my favourite musical ever. I just hope Nic and his son enjoy it too!

As for Sunday ...... chores. Booooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Debs - maybe when the foot gets betterererer you can re-visit aforementioned numpty doc and boot him up the bum with it to prove it's healed. Just a thought ......

Sounds like you need a house boy to do the domestics!

Sorry the hospital was a bit of a shambles, in my recent experience unless you push you always get the numpty junior who doesn't know whats happening. I found when you were clear to them what was required you suddenly get a registrar or consultant who knows what to do! Surprising that.

As for the birthday, it's the MIL's 80th birthday tomorrow and we're having two do's on Sunday, afternoon for her and evening for me - could be interesting if they overlap!

Good advice about the hospital, I think I will indeed push next time, he physically made me walk to physio - which took 20 minutes and was agony, to deliver a piece of paper - the physio receptionist was mortified as it should just have come in internal post..... hey ho

Enjoy your mega birthday bash - pace yourself buddy! But if not come on here afterwards and treat us to some Rips styly ramblings!
