What a busy few shows we're having lately.

Chris Evans | 11:29 UK time, Thursday, 24 November 2011

Early November was quiet, we had to look inside to see anything going on outside.

But not now, no siree.

The train is careering furiously right along the tracks. Deep fried ravioli lessons, The Military Wives, Will Carling for England and Lee Evans live tomorrow. What a hootsville.

The team and I are discussing lots at the moment. 500 Words for next year, The Olympic Torch route and countdown plus our exec producer Hells Bells has been seconded by the mighty Russell Grant for his Festive Special - Strictly New Year.

Alright - they can lend her for a bit.

Off to Top Gear Live now to try not to crash a car or two.

May see you tomorrow. Here's hoping.

Peace and Love.

    Morning Chris,

It all sounds very good. Looking forward to Saturday morning, I'm still recovering from your roux last year :) Defo agree Will Carling for England.

Sezza, Sorry I didn't mention Will before hand, a friend actually booked the tickets for me otherwise I would have counted you in. Chrissie, I'll give him a wave for you :) xx

Tea and chat this morning have just been discussing lap dancing clubs! Yes you heard me correctly, they are all over 60 as well.....I don't know the old people of today....lol.

Hi Chris: yes, no doubt about it, it's "all go"! Just when I think you have peaked on your show, you prove me wrong and you just keep getting better and better. xx And, how exciting for our lovely Hells Bells!

AliB: thank you, yes please, a wave from me! We go a long way back, me and Will - when I think of how many times I voted for him to win Pop Idol ... I kept hitting "re-dial" every time MrS left the room!

    Afternoon each

Just put the lights on and closed the blinds - it's dark out there.

Was out early this morning and listened to the discussion about pasta in the car. Looking forward to Saturday morning - you'll be fine Chris.

Update on nits: they've definitely all gone. I won't, however, be looking after 6yr old and 1yr old tomorrow as the 1yr old now has the vomiting bug. Son in going to work from home just in case I catch it again. What a week they've had - nits, vomiting (all of them at different times). It's been so bad for them that I haven't dared say - 'Oh, well, never mind, hehehehe' as I'm wont to do when they moan (been there, done that, not doing it ever again).

Ali, enjoy Will Young - he's one of the few winners who actually has talent. And, by the way, I'm over 60 and haven't actually thought about lap dancing...hmmmmm....

Debs: how exciting! Thanks for letting me know. Jess, don't you dare go near that envelope!

Annie: what a shame for your wee brood. Sounds like they have had a dreadful week. And, yes, a very good idea to sympathise with them on this occasion!

    Afternoon all,

I agree Chris it ahs been all go and not just this week! My diary need another notch on its belt to let everything into it. My meeting tonight has been cancelled so for the first time this week I will be at home, I doubt I will put my feet up as the list of things I have not yet done is growing ever longer........

Thanks to those who sent good wishes for my inspection on Tuesday, all was well so I am off the hook for another year, yippee!

I did have a spot of good new this morning, I put a bid in to go on a golf tour to South Africa. This morning my place was confirmed so I am off to Cape Town for two weeks to play eight different courses! Excited or what!! ;-)

Still I have a lots to do before I can even think about that (too much) so back to the grind stone, maybe the driving range on the way home? LOL

    Keep smiling

    Evening all.

I just had to drop by and add my appreciation to the Military Wives song, that I heard on the show this morning.

I have informed the teens that it WILL be number one for Christmas, of course they think that they know better, so cant wait to see their faces, when they are proved wrong!

Debs, was up your way today, sent from one ELH to another on a wild goose chase!

Have had a day and a half, driving for 12 hours, taking the 18 year old to get his long awaited Birthday present and collecting 'soon to be' 20 year old and bring her home for her Birthday.

All of this, including my usual round.

A trip over the Levels today, brought about a spectacle, that I had not seen before.

Just before dusk, always provides an excellent show, this time of the year. Huge 'murmurations' of starlings, just before they plunge into the reed beds for the night. But this evening was extraordinary. Just outside Bridgwater, is an old airfield. Occasionally they still fly small aircraft from there, its always a surprise, when all of a sudden, a small plane appears from nowhere and lands on the very uneven runway.

So, I was amazed, to see that the field alongside was almost covered in Lapwings, or Peewits as we were brought up to call them. Their call is very recognizable.

Something suddenly disturbed the Lapwings and they took to the skies at the same time that a HUGE murmuration was flying over head and the two species went into absolute chaos. Starlings and Lapwings, birds of fairly distinctive different sizes, each trying to stay with their own. Quite bizarre!

Moments like that! Priceless and make my job, just that little bit more worthwhile.

I have just been reminded by my soon to be 20 year old that it was snowing this time last year, as she set off for Paris.

Let the mild temperatures continue. We have had two hard winters, with several reasonably mild ones before that. Lets hope that we can all get through this one without too much of the white stuff.

I know that storms have been forecast for the NW of Scotland, batten down the hatches, all you dear Bloggers up there.

Best post this waffle now before I press the wrong button.

It looks like you are the only one up this morning Debs.

I saw in Bristol yesterday, that the Christmas market signs are up, also an ice rink. What do you think? Oh hang on, on second thoughts, yikes! ;)

    Morning,

A nice sunny day in North Kent and it's Friday - Yay.

MTF, Lovely to read you and thanks for the nature update, I miss them :) xx

Morning Debs, get back to work...lol xx

I am a little sleepy this morning after my night out with Will Young. What a performer, he really is a lovely boy and a great singer. The age demographic of the concert was quite interesting a lot of middle aged women (of which I was one!) Great night, but one little dissapointment, my friend who is a real fan, wanted an autograph. So we hung around outside the Stage Door, there were only about 25-30 of us, so not a lot and he just came out signed a couple of autographs and jumped into his car. Not impressed, unlike the lovely stars who came to visit us last Friday and spent time signing autographs and having photos taken. My poor friend was very upset!

Just having a nice frothy coffee and a biscuit.

    Is it hometime yet?

Good morning everyone, I'm here, just don't have anything interesting to say (that's never stopped me before mind you). There are extremely blustery showers here this morning, when one starts it goes so black, it's horrible.

Have a good day and a great weekend.

    Hi everyone:

    Friday again - hurrah!

Keith: well done - I am sure the golf tour will be unforgettable.

MTF: lovely post from you. xx

AliB: oooh, not nice about Will. I do know that he said recently that he had been a little carried away with himself, but I was hoping that was in the past. Some entertainers just don't realise they would be nowhere without their fans and public support. That was so rude of him and if I was your friend, I would write to him, letting him know how disappointed she is in him. Even if he never sees the letter, it would make her feel better just getting her feelings down on paper.

Mind you, I spend my life writing letters!

    Have a good day, all.

    Hi Chrissie,

I know what you mean, but having said all of that I have since read that his next gig, tonight, is in Plymouth, so he may have been driving all the way there. But still 30 autographs wouldn't have taken more than 10 minutes.

I did give him a wee wave for you though :)

Hi Gail, I hope you and the other North of the Boarder Bloggers aren't too battered by the storms and snow!! xx
