Annan find welcome festive form

I hope you are all well and organised for the festivities that are almost upon us.

After discussing the importance of this time of year in terms of results last time, we got the best possible start last Saturday with a last gasp .

We didn't realise just how important the victory was until we saw the other results in the division.

Annan prepare for festive football

I want to start with a small thank you to those who left comments regarding last week's blog as I've not had much chance to reply this week.

Most were positive and a few not so - but opinions are what it's all about and it shows that people are at least taking an interest in what's going on at .

We were a little unfortunate to lose to on Saturday. A couple of errors cost us two goals, but I think the definite turning point in the match was the sending off of Steven Archibald only five minutes after we had taken the lead.

Festive cheer combats cold snap

I wouldn't be at all surprised if we had to go another week without a competitive match this Saturday.

I had a walk across the pitch on Tuesday night at training and it was frozen solid.

Annan weather the storm

Well that's the celebrations all over and the reality of reaching my 30th birthday is definitely sinking in for me.

I've taken in Newcastle, Amsterdam and Edinburgh as well as a wee house party in Dumfries in what was probably one of the best weeks of my life.

It's back to business now though as I get my head down and fight to get my place back in the Annan first team, or should I say squad.
