I was down in Gelsenkirchen for the match, though I couldn't get a ticket. 800 euros - I think not! I ended up watching the match at the Fan Zone, just down the round from the ground, where thousands of England fans had gathered to watch the game. There were some Portugal fans, but not many, and they quickly made an exit after the penalty shootout.

A few renditions of 'Ingerland' through the game, but there was very little to shout about really. Down to ten men they battled brilliantly, but over the 5 games they played England never really showed that they were potential World Cup winners.

I'm going for Germany to go on and win the cup. I'd never have thought it before the tournament but they've played as well as anyone - except for maybe France. The German people have been great, showing a lot of love for the England team, so I'll be doing the same in return.
