Another update on my showbiz life

Post categories:

Chris | 10:43 UK time, Thursday, 12 October 2006

Hello. It's been a while since my last blog cos Aled has such a massive ego that he insists on doing it more than me (ooer).

Last night I did a music awards show for and was hanging out with Jamiroquai, Take That, Dirty Pretty Things, My Chemical Romance, Maximo Park, The Automatic and Let Loose. Only joking - Let Loose weren't there, that was a joke. Haha!

And Roger Taylor and Brian May from Queen were there too, as well as my friends, but they're not famous so I won't bother writing about them.

Today I'm going to see the new Borat movie which I'm very much looking forward to. We're seeing it in a private cinema in a posh hotel in London.

To some of you that probably means that we're very showbiz and cool, but in reality that means that five minutes after the lights go down Aled and I will go around stealing towels and dressing gowns.

Listen out tomorrow to see if you can win what we stole in our brand new feature 'hers and hers'.

I'm going now as I'm dictating this to Hoop Dogg and he types so slowly he makes me sound like Doctor Stephen Hawking.

Feel free to leave a message, and your comments are always read by Aled in a hope you'll mention him.

Keep on reaching for the stars
Love
Chris Moyles

PS Aled's doing a live webchat on tonight - see, he's done it again.

You people are all mad. Vernon to do the mornings when Chris is away? All the "celeb" DJ presenters radio one have on are utter rubbish. Veron, Jamie Thiekston(Spelling?, Fern & Reg etc etc. Coxy is so bad I have to turn the radio off. Colin Murray is the best thing on radio one, but even he is better on 5 live. I am not a big fan of Chris and prefer XFM or 6 Music, but he can be funny from time to time. Veron.....give me strength!!

Hi Christopher

I am writing to let you know about a syndrome called "Vanitus Maximus Atrocious" or VMA for short. It is a common syndrome amongst those who are exposed to a celebrity lifestyle for long periods of their life. As a concerned citizen, I fear you may have contracted the ailment. To check for yourself, please study the following symptoms and if you feel you are infected, then the only solution is to chop your head off.
Good Luck!!

Symptoms of VMA:
- thinking your better than others
- Boasting constantly
- belittling colleagues (Carrie/wee)
- Obscene spending habits
- Excessive demands
- Beligerent behaviour towards the Hoi Polloi
- Refusing "free gifts"

It is so quiet in our house this week. No kids dancing to tunes, no me laughing out loud to your musings. Our morning routine revolves around you! Sometimes we are late for school because we don't want to miss anything inbetween leaving the house and turning on the car radio. Are we sad? I can tollerate Scott for one more week and thats it! By the way, who said Chappers should do anything other than the sports news?

Hi Chris

I went to your book signing in Canary Wharf yesterday afternoon. I was really excited about meeting you and I had a photo taken with you (slightly blurry). I hope someone got you some food as you mentioned that you were hungry. Missing you on the Radio, have a great holiday and make sure you don't get RSI signing all those books!

I miss you all so much, can you please post your holiday dates on the website at the start of the year and I will then arrange to be out of the country while you are off - Scott Mills is just so rubbish, can't someone tell him that those stupid phonecalls and Laura's diary are just not funny.

Can we please have Vernon in next time, his humour is similar to yours.

Good luck with the book signings Chris and I hope you all enjoy your holidays.

Hi Chris,
I also wish Scott Mills wasn't doing your breakfast show while you're away, cos he's just plain boring. Normally, I might switch over to Radio 2 while you're away, but Terry's back from his holidays, and I REALLY can't stand him. So all I'm left with is listening to local radio (which is either Heart, BRMB, or Beacon) - all of which are RUBBISH!! It's bad enough when you go away for 1 week, but 2 weeks is plain ridiculous.

Oh and by the way, it was me that sent in that photo of the cats legs with "Chris Moyles" written next to them. Shame you didn't put the picture on the web page. Maybe next time?

Please get somebody else to do your show when you're on holiday (I'm thinking Coxy or Vernon). It's not that I dislike Scott, it's just that he's boring, un-funny, repetative, and plays far too much really rubbish music. I do like Chappers though... maybe he should do the show?

Keep up the good work fella

I can't wait until you all get back from your holiday- I hate when Scott Mills is in for you- he plays too much music, especially before 7am. Its just not the same. Please come back soon!!!!

You're so right about Nicola from Girls Aloud. On the C4 Vodafone Music Awards show when they performed I made 3 observations. 1. She never got to sing a solo in the song, that must say something. B. I don't think she attempted to smile once. She might have attempted to smile at the end but I might have been mistaken and she merely swallowed a wasp. III. There were only 2 actually, I just wanted to do the 1, B, III joke.

Great appearences by Abs (ya get me), Ozzie, Bonio and the rest by the way.

Hey Chris,

You got me in trouble today! I was trying to listen to the show at school on my phone when my teacher noticed what I was doing. She told me to turn it off so I ignored her and just hid it a bit (as you do). Then she noticed I was writing on my legs and trying to take a good picture of them (mine's the one with the massively swollen knee...don't ask). Now I'm in detention, but it was worth it!!!

Love Kelly xxx

PS: I bought "Project B" at the weekend and abandoned Gordon Ramsey's book to read it. Very good so far sir! Well done!

Hi Chris

I like your book, i bought it with my own money and havn't borrowed it from anyone, neither will i be lending it out to anyone. I sent you an email the other day but I don't think you had time to read it in your busy schedule. I basically said that i would like you to sign my book for me. Like you i am a busy person, and am unable to make any of the book signings. I have an offer for you if you wish to sign my book, but i won't put it on here... email me if your interested.

Take Care

Hi Chris,
Listing to you and the team in the mornings makes my 2 hrs car drive to work alot easier. Of course when I get to work (www.dulwichtri.com) it's a case of turn on the radio first to listen to the rest of the show and indeed Radio 1 for the day.

I have yet to buy your book (sorry) but am very impressed by the comments published so far. problem is that I hardly have time to study let lone read your book after getting home and taking care of my 2 month old son Calvin.

Well trust you enjoyed your movie.
cheers

Chris,I finished your book over the weekend I couldn't put it down, which made cleaning my flat quite problematic. I particularly liked the way you used an extraordinarily large font in places to make the book seem longer. I thought it was really honest and touching and in quite a scarily obsessive way I have also considered purchasing the audio book so I can hear you speaking the words yourself. Is it an abridgement though? I'm not interested if it is. I thought the book could have been longer though, perhaps I am one of those weirdo stalker types you talk about in the opening chapter.
