Cat-flapping and other guff

Hello bloggerlogger people -

Today we had a cat in the studio. Not a real one but a toy one. Here's a picture of a pussy by the way. Now... Dave is a bit scared of them.

Cat
In fact - when Carrie was idly stroking it Dave found this very bizarre and looked a bit uneasy. Chris and I didn't mind at all and we let Carrie carry on...

I have a cat called Missie. She's a lovely cat with long hair.

This whole cat business has got me thinking (or " thinkin' " if you're a local radio DJ). Why don't we cat a studio pet? Genius.

Now obviously a cat is out of the question due to Dave's unnatural phobia but i think all other options are open.

Why not write your suggestions below and I will lobby whoever I need to lobby to see if we can make this happen.

I'm "feline" confident. Ha ha. I'm feeling confident but ....i....changed it to....Feline.

Bye now,

Dominic A Byrne.

I think you should get a GOLDFISH and call it Ghandi! after me, because I love listening to the show in the morning for the last hour or to (or half) depending on what time i get up and into work...

I've never had anything named after me, and its an original and slightly queer name.

Peace,
-Ghandi! x

I think you should get one of those funny little Donny Courgette cross bred thingies. Half donkey, half baby baboon, spits alot and who old ladies laugh at.
And I would gladly put it down (mostly) humanely for you if the need ever arose.

I think you should get the Egg Card Guinea Pigs.

This would fit in with the cute, cuddly, containable pets mentioned earlier as the optimum choice.

The added bonus is that they have a highly advanced society and appear to be very intelligence; as portrayed in the documentaries on the telly.

Sea Monkeys! It has to be Sea Monkeys. Best pet ever invented, if thats the right word, as they need next to no looking after and come in a packet. Plus you never notice if they are dead or alive.

After reading all the posts I reckon you should get either a Parrot or an Oscour.

I think the parrot would be more fun over the radio, espically if you train it to mimick Aled ;-)

Well you either need something very slow (so it can't zip about the studio wreaking havoc) or something containable.

With the obvious slow thing being a tortoise and it not being legal I think to buy them here any more, I guess that leaves either a dog with no legs or some variety of small creature kept in a cage or tank.

How about an Oscar? They're a type of fish we had when I was a kid and for fish they're surprisingly entertaining. Ours used to play dead if somebody they didn't recognise came in, and we had a long tank for them so they'd follow you down as you walked past. If you read the link below you'll see they have capacity to be very entertaining.

Make Dave the studio pet, then there's no fear of phobias.

Why dont you get something adventures like a bearded dragon

theres a picture of one sleeping, dont ask me why there called "dragons" but im sure its a good thing, maybe that they breath fire, would be pretty cool!, only playing

these creatures are tame and love being handles and when they want to go to sleep they wrap aroung your neck, of sleep on your lap, there not much trouble, but you have to feed them Grass hoppers and other bug's so if anyone in the stufio is scared of bugs, then the pet isnt for you!!

I think a parrot would be an ideal studio pet...it would be like having a local radio DJ in the studio every day...listening to the high pitch squeals and random squawks of one of our feathered friends!

If anyone is having trouble, listening to these two is just like said animal.
