Playing Football Sometimes Isn't Good For You

Carrie
Good Day to you bloggers!!! I am speaking to you today in considerable amount of pain...Yesterday I decided to play football in a five a side tournament with loads of mates from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Sport. Its fair to say I haven't done any proper exercise since doing the Great North Run but I figured I would be ok..But in actual fact I can hardly walk!!

We only did 6 minutes each way but I'd forgotten how completely knackering it is!! Running around like an idiot and in typical fashion none of the boys passed to the one girl on the team! We've even tried to get the girls more involved by offering double points for a girl goal but the boys still have to do all the showboating...It got rather competitve too - last time I was sent off for having a go at the ref - this time I was better behaved but the air was indeed blue when I was sithed down while lining up a shot..My shin is absolutely black and blue! Shin pads are the way forward there!! Anyway after a frustrating afternoon hitting the bar twice and the post I managed to score a belter - the keeper couldn't control it and pushed it into the top corner - that got us to the final..We had to share the trophy in the end as one of the defenders was carried off with an ankle injury - they were 3 -2 up..I did get a medal for most eager player - think that was for going in for a tackle - putting my arm out and getting more of a handful then I bargained for!!

This morning we had a new playstation 3 sent in (other games consoles are available) - I have to say not being a gamer I wasn't that bothered but it does look smart..Am afraid I lost interest when I couldn't kill Dr Robotnik in the Chemical Plant on Sonic 2..

Have fun all as I hobble out of the building!!

I forgot to tell you that I sent you a photo via E Mail so that the Chris Moyles Show could identify listener and face. Also, my best wishes for England against Andorra and Israel. I am confident of an English Victory. We play Ecuador on the 25th of March 2007. Roberto.

Carrie: I hope you feel better. My family and I will keep you in our prayers.

On another note:
My sympathies and prayers are with the British Sailors who are being held prisoners by the Iranian Government.
